I remember I was a kid when he was playing for us, and it was a toss up between him and Distin on who I got on the back of my shirt. I went with Distin purely because Foe was only on loan. At the time he was fantastic for us. A proper athlete. Someone who fans of other teams could like as well. Last City player to score at Maine road. Loved the guy!

A sad loss for us and it's frightening the way that time has flown since his demise.

A very fine player.

Can only echo the sentiments here. A top player who if he played now would be a £50m man. He had a great engine and was a proper box to box player.

You're right NB.

He could have been great in our current set-up.

Dont want to be negative but he didnt have a good start and was pretty average until the last 5 or 6 games of the season, which he played excellent in. Handballs included.

I wanted him to sign permanently but to say he is a 50m player. Come on gents there are blue tinted specs being wirn

Perhaps, but he IMO is superior to Fernandinho who wasn't cheap. In this day and age money appears to be no object and £50m gets you a 20 year old

I was on a geological mapping course in the cantabrian mountains as part of my degree and we had been out all day. When we got back to our campsite near the lovely village of senna de luna we took our ales in the campsite bar and when I looked up at the TV there were man city scarves tied round the Main Road gates and flowers and all sorts of tributes and I had no idea what was going on because it was all in Spanish but it was obvious that something bad had happened and when I finally cottoned on I was so gutted. I really loved him as a player and truly believe he would have gone on to great things. RIP señor Foe !

He was so much a City player that I ensured to watch the no-nothing game (in a City/English fans eyes).

We had big hopes. Such a shame.

Never forget the pic in the sun showing the whites of his eyes laid out on the pitch. Sent a shiver down my spine. Life is so cruel at times.

Very well put slimbo.

I watched him in that final match and I'll never forget it.

But you're right, he was the closest to yaya we were ever likely to get until everything changed.
