That might well be the case. ..
But it makes not one jot of sense as a sentence.

So wtf?

A little bit longer than 12 days since the window opened?

These long drawn out things tend to last until mid August, so a bit of a result really.

However they could prove themselves to be pretty manly muppets if they nail this week.

I want KDB and some fullbaction. See what I...eh, sorry.

It's so quiet. Are we a cobra ready to strike or are we dead by the side of the road having been run over by a car?

I think the transfer window is a joke. I'd like it done away with in current format. I don't have a better idea but it creates this artificiality that the sport would do better to emulate the NFL around.

Closing the season on the same day as the last competitive match (either league or cup) is played would help - then they could have the transfer window start early enough so that it can close the day before the new season kicks off.

Letting these Guardiola rumours spin out of control is a worry. If Pellegrini is really a lame duck manager then this season may be a struggle. May explain the concentration on young signings that are likely to shine in 2016/17 and beyond? Have to wonder...

We agree on that one, my fiend.

A lame duck season of conjecture won't do the players or the club any good. If Pep is coming in I hope they announce it at Xmas to try and salvage the season's focus.

Bottom line tho is that these things happen and our squad hopefully won't be too distracted by it. It could go either way. I share your concerns tho.

I doubt that pellegrini will be in the dark about it if pep.is coming. There will be a big bonus incentive being dangled for a successful finale

Interesting thought Socs, which might just suggest also that some kind of informal agreement has already been made with Guardiola - even though this might be a somewhat tenuous idea at first glance.

I've also posted elsewhere that I can somehow see us not buying anyone else this summer, so who knows ??

I can't see that last bit Mikhail given what Khaldoon said in his end of season interview.

True, but I'm just a pessimistic soul so I fear 'the worst', at the best of times.

With regard to our owners, I don't think I'd want to play poker (or even bridge) against them; they figuratively keep their cards very close to their chests.
