The Premier League has blocked its clubs wearing their away kits at home on Boxing Day to raise awareness around homelessness.
Homeless charity Shelter hoped to get the support of clubs for the #NoHomeKit initiative.
However, while the clubs were supportive of the idea, the Premier League says it would break its rules around kits.
The rules demand home teams wear home kits as their first priority.

Very sad news and I'm sure posters over a certain age will concur.

I have been enjoying the repeats of the Big Match Revisited on ITV4 recently and if I am correct he normally did the macthes from the NW? Along with Hugh Johns, Brian Moore and Barry Davies to name but a few, one of the generation who commentated on the match with no hidden agenda not like most of the wankers nowadays

PIF ‘disappointed’ with ‘unattractive’ Newcastle – they ‘want another team’
If true, that is fast. I do think it will be much harder for them. You wonder if they really are football motivated?
So lucky we got people with vision and passion for City

They had a choice between Newcastle and Inter Milan and they chose Newcastle. You wonder how smart these people are.

Don't know, but this smells like biased media. They don't need another Manchester City and they started early with these type of news.
We really were blessed that social media was not at this level when the sheik came.
I think Newcastle needs double the work we've put in to win the league.

I remember him well, very different times back then.
Another one I liked was Alan Greene.
When you think of the self centred agenda driven pricks now like that slime ball Taylor.
