I notice no one dared to put their name to this piece of shite on the Beeb's website, and I'm not even going to give it clicks by linking it - the headline is "Jose Mourinho: Sergio Aguero 'smart' for Marouane Fellaini's red" and inside the actual quote from him is: "I didn't watch but probably I can guess..."
In other words they are reporting his assumption as though it was a fact. Someone give me a time machine I want to go back to the '80's.

great article. underestimates the role of officiating, however, both in terms of results and our team psyche.

Had the displeasure of switching TalkSport on the way to work on Friday morning, in the vain hope that they'd be talking about the game and the fact that the Rags are now playing like a mid to lower level Premier club. Of course, I was sadly mistaken. During the 30 minutes I was listening there were about 10 minutes of adverts, 5 minutes of self promotion and about 5 minutes of waffle. The other ten minutes were spent blaming Aguero for getting Bogbrush sent off and how the Rags did a job on us by being organised enough to stop us from scoring. Seemed to be a similar trait across the media world.

Now, contrast that with is a couple of seasons back against Arsenal, where we were crucified for doing a very similar thing. The difference was that we weren't then a club renowned for getting into the top 4 on a regular basis, we were up and coming.

Just shows the difference in the reporting and how the media need to portray a positive aspect when it comes to the Rags. In reality, they were no better than the Hull's of this world, who will park the bus and try to get something on the break. Looking at their fixtures, most believed the Rags had to beat us to stand a chance of getting into the top 4 yet they turned up at Ickle Citeh and played not to lose.

The media, just like the PL, Sky etc, are all about the viewers, and that's how they tailor the package they provide. From top to bottom, they all manipulate the perception to suit their means, and that's why the game has more in common with WWE than it does to the great game we all want to see.

So are you saying they favour particular teams?

He sounded a little pissed and with Ray 'I love to drink and drive' Wilkins, it was far from decent listening. However, it was back on again when coming back home and this time Durham and Gough were doing the good cop, bad cop routine. Durham was arguing that such a team like the Rags shouldn't be parking the bus while Gough argued the point that not losing would do more for the Rags, especially having to play with 10 men'.

Funny how, after a few calls, the conclusion was that the Rags had done a good job and that it was spoiled by Agueros antics, getting Bogbrush sent off!

The above is what your plastic fans listen to and espouse when they get a sniff of a victory. It was a victory for them, wasn't it, they celebrated like it was?

More nauseating collaboration by MOTD in pushing the absurd myth that the swampies finishing 6th is no reflection on their 'greatness'.
'End of season friendly'.... 'no-one wanted to get injured'.... 'it's been a brilliant season'.... 'united fans are happy' - dribbles half-witted ratboy2.

There are two articles on the beeb which are Rag sympathies:
Previously they cried today they sing - mourinho happy for Arsenal fans

Analysis: why arsenal beat scum but nobody really cares.

Pathetic.

His brother is just as bad yet I still hear people referring to him as a great pundit. Vomit inducing.

I see no one has the balls to pull Mourinho up on his hypocrisy either.

Mourinho yesterday: "We made eight changes. Of course, we knew we were not coming in our maximum power."

Mourinho in February: "Man United demands that you go serious to every game."

My feelings as well FIBD.

Moreover, his abject failure as an attempted football manager never seems to get mentioned.

G Neville invented "the edge of offside". He's a terrible pundit and an even worse commentator.

Didn't you used to get in trouble for deliberately playing a weakened side?

Yep, the rule was changed following the introduction of the 25 man squad

Yep, the rule was changed following the introduction of the 25 man squad

Huddersfield were invited to comment on their team selection last week by the English Football League, after making ten changes to their side in their match against Birmingham following confirmation of a playoff spot - speculation is that they will be fined (precedent set in previous seasons by other clubs). My argument if I was in charge would be "your rules make me name a squad - so I pick from this squad of eligible players - who are you to tell any of my squad of players that they're not fit to play?"
