Manchester United have spent a whopping £630m on new signings since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013... we assess the hits and misses

. Manchester United haven't won the Premier League since Sir Alex Ferguson retired back in 2013
. David Moyes and Louis van Gaal tried and failed to uphold the old standards
. Jose Mourinho is trying to restore United to the pinnacle at home and abroad
. All three managers have spent millions trying to strengthen the United squad
. In all, £630m has been spent by Old Trafford club on new signings since 2013

Not sure if it rather belong to "the gift that keeps on giving", tho.

And the "Charity Shield " is now a "Trophy" apparently ?!?!?! pmsl

I'm not going to click on it, but I imagine the 'hits' list is quite short.

Only right that we post positive stories also. Love this one from Stuart Brennan from the MCEN ;-)

I think he may be the very worst of them. I wonder whether he spouts what he does to simply get attention or whether he actually believes the words that comes out of his mouth?

Even Shearer, who undeniably has slagged us to high heaven previously, couldn't be more fulsome in his praise lately. Chuckle and Camelgob the same. And I bet even Bacon if pushed would give us our due with respect.

I like that the first article is honest enough to say 'A set of arbitrary power rankings'

Thought Leroy was good tonight but not overly special but that's because he didn't have the City quality to play with.

Also thought that Loftus Cheek was good but perhaps not quite as good as they made out. based on what I have seen from him in recent years he was a tad conservative with his game tonight.Plenty more to come from that young man.

Most notable for me though was how crap Rashford was but not a word was said about it. A total non event and some of it I am convinced was because he was trying to do things too much for himself and not the team.

I saw Lionnel run the ball out of play immediately after coming on. Did he do anything else?

A bit late, but Alyson Rudd from
The Times, is a joke of a journalist who clearly hates us and makes up excuses to justify her obvious views.

Very funny to hear Rudd's expert opinion rerun. :D

As regards our cousins, very bad error in the first sentence...

Eleven Premier League games unbeaten, 38 goals scored in all competitions, eight points clear at the top of the table and unbeaten in their Champions League group.

And, amazingly, not even a mention for Big Dave or Dinho.

Wasn't trying to impress Pep to hasten his move to Manchester then?

This is even more ludicrous than Sterling to Arsenal.

Even the Dipper fans must be thinking how ridiculous a non-possibility this is.

Cheers for that JC. At the time some of her comments were correct tbf, there were many on here bemused by Pep's treatment & comments about Aguero. I don't think she had an agenda about us at all, just an opinion, her opinion. I would love to see what she thinks about us & Pep now he has the players he wanted, hopefully just as honest. Ashton is the snidey cent in that clip

Pep just wanted Aguero to be more of a team player so he'd be a better fit for his style, he now is, so much so that I've seen Argie fans raving about this 'version' of Aguero and thanking Guardiola for his part in this.

That Rudd is in danger of disappearing she's that far up her own arse.
