collymore is surely trolling at this point. he is rightly getting slated but he's also benefiting from all of the links, retweets and clickbait.

Probably for the best. The players will be under enough pressure without them having a camera shoved in their face - especially the younger ones.

I complained about this in 2009 - it is completely untrue that Gazidis was offered anything by ADUG

"Gazidis: Easy to turn down City for Gunners

By Anthony Clavane, sundaymirror.co.uk 15/03/2009

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis has revealed why he turned down a move to mega-rich Manchester City - and how the Gunners' philosophy of the beautiful game turned his head. The Londoners go head-to-head with City in six days' time in a match that is vital to their hopes of getting back into the top four - and qualifying for the Champions League.
Gazidis says he has no regrets about turning down the post of Eastlands supremo - even though he supported the club as a boy. Since City were bought by Abu Dhabi billionaire Sheikh Mansour in August, boss Mark Hughes has spent £120million.
But Gazidis said: "Most people feel Arsenal represents something traditional and doing things the right way. A lot of neutral fans have a lot of affection for the way Arsenal play football. Arsenal are not one of those clubs that live beyond their means.
"Clubs are entitled to do what City are doing, to adopt different approaches and strategies. But it's not the philosophy of this club.
Arsenal means something to me. Something special in the world of football."
The South African-born sports businessman turned down the billionaire Abu Dhabi Group before they offered the chief executive post to Garry Cook.
But when Arsenal came knocking, Gazidis admitted: "I simply said yes." "

nothing happened :(

Lawro:

I just think United have hit a run of form, and their win at Arsenal last week was very comfortable and impressive.

He's gone for a 2-1 rag win. Seriously, when did he last predict a defeat for us?

More importantly, if that's his definition of comfort, he must sleep on a bed of fucking nails.

“Net, the difference between his spending at Manchester City and that of Jose Mourinho at Manchester United is around £44m — or Bernardo Silva. And Manchester City are not eight points clear because of Bernardo Silva. Most weeks, he can't get in the team.”

I’ll bring that up with a rag any time money is mentioned this season. Thanks Martin.

And that's after Pep had to overall an ageing squad.

The fullback situation was indeed ridiculous and we're still short of a LB - and cover for Fernandinho following the departure of Fernando - and a CB given the obvious unsuitability of Mangala. The consequences of poor recruitment in those areas should not be underestimated in assessing last season's performance.

And also this as it has a knock on effect. Once we had notice from Guardiola I think things started shaping up and we brought Pep's players in well before he arrived. The thing is though, that we still have to play within the rules and we can't just spend willy-nilly, therefore couldn't bring in all within such a short period. The FB issue has gone on for a few seasons now without being addressed and Pep probably thought, with his system, that they could do a job and it wasn't a priority. A serious oversight for me but one that he learnt from and addressed the best we could.

Just imagine where we could be if we'd spent a little more wisely and not tried to rely on 3 or 4 ageing FBs to compete in a multitude of competitions?

Talksport quiz for fun: Who are the 5 players who have scored 5 goals in a single PL game? The one the presenters couldn't think of? ...Kun Aguero of course.
