Among those 59,215, though, were plenty of ex-players including Robbie Keane and Ossie Ardiles as well as comedian Michael McIntyre.

That would be enough to make me stay away.

When they roll the top pitch out to use the one below it they are used then to maximise the capacity. It was always going to be a duel purpose stadium

So for real football matches (as opposed to that NFL american rugby stuff) when the grass pitch is on top of the astro (or whatever is below) the capacity is 59k as opposed to 62k, so not a 62K football stadium as widely reported.

Some good piss-taking of the rag-fawning media here, and of Danny Mills for comments on Foden:

I also noticed that in an article on Aguero's fitness our OS site claim 'City take on Brighton looking to make it to the final of the competition for the first time since 2011'. The loss to Wigan must be still too painful to remember.

Danny Mills, 4 years at City 51 appearances
Phil Foden, just coming up to 2 years at City 34 appearances

Says it all really

I have read the loathsome Ladyman of the Mail wants Brighton to win, he thinks it will be better for the competition. No it will not. It will be better for him, because he is a fucking disgusting rag

Really? It will be better for the competition if the final is Brighton vs Watford or Wolves? I could understand wanting the underdog to win the final, but surely the competition needs the best team to make the final for the national and global audience?

BBC bigging up Sterling’s ticket gesture.

Maybe the tide has turned. He is about the most perfect role model for young players and young people in society as a whole.

Phwoar, see the two laughing in the studio throughout all of that and having Kirsty miss the excellent point Ena made about bullshit Wembley games completely.
One of my biggest gripes with games down south is the last train back north from Euston.. 9pm, after battling your way through masses of people dispersing Wembley, having spent a load of cash already only to possibly be stuck standing up for the best part of 3 hours due to heavy human traffic.. It's a joke. Just a stupid bitch with a silver spoon stuffed up her arse so far she doesn't understand the valid points made by the caller.

Wolves and Watford fans should be home today well in time to have a pint down their own locals. Why spend money at Wembley ? Thanks BBC , Thanks FA , for nothing but problems, headaches and more out of pocket weekends.
