For the irish lads here, City 11 are playing pats next Wednesday in Richmond Park.

No idea of what kind of team we will put out but worth going to see even if only the EDS team.

The first 40-odd players seem to be in Australia, but I guess the younger lads could mostly be coming home now the big boys are there.

I wouldn't mind going along but hard to know who we'd put out, even the best of the youngsters are over in Australia, aren't they?

Edit: scratch that. Just seen the date is Wed 29th. not this Wednesday. I won't be here for it.

I'm just guessing mate but I'd say it's just the EDS going off what Bohs said on their website.

It'll be the EDS lot, the ones that didnt go with the first team most likely - maybe some that didnt get game time either over in 'nam & down under. Celina, Ntcham etc. The u18s were in Wales last night so it wont be them.

Bryan, Ambrose, Faupala, Plummer, Gunn, Glendon etc

I've just seen a tweet from Humphreys of anIreland flag so I'm guessing that means he's part of the squad. Hoping the likes of Pozo and Garcia are there too.

I see the eds are playing Bohemians on Saturday afternoon. Anyone know if they are on a training camp in Dublin? I wouldn't mind popping along to have a chat with Paddy V.

Not a great performance. Looked very disorganised at the back first half.

Should be clear just basing this on what seen tonight obviously don't get to see these lads regularly

Goalkeeper O'Brien caught out for first and third goals. Charged out on second goal and got nowhere near the ball and gave their player a tap in into empty net.

Right full Tattum I think looked all over the place early going some very poor positioning but came into it a lot more but 2 goals conceded at that stage.

On a positive thought Glendon in midfield looked comfortable on the ball dictated play and was at the heart of most positive play.

Celina looked to have a lot of talent and was gliding around first half should have scored but played a pass instead which was put wide under some pressure but overall he impressed.

Ambrose came on for Faupala who had gotten a goal but looked isolated at times first half and struggled to get into the game. Ambrose didn't look sharp couple nice turns but as he was injured last season might not be fully upto speed. Was really looking forward to see him play but hopefully get more minutes on Saturday.

Paulo Fernandes came on in second half and he had a couple very nice touches and quick feet. Very slightly built and looks like he could pass for the u16 age group but his touch and technique on the ball looked promising. Couple week shots but had good movement to get into position to get them away

No one else really stood out as good or poor performance, Kongolo looks a really athletic stride and comfortable dropping back to pick up ball be interested to follow his progress.

Not trying to run down any of the young lads going off one preseason game when it was far from a full strength eds but would be interested to get more regular eds viewers opinions on O'Brien if anyone thinks he has a chance as many around were commenting on his performance.

Hopefully will get to see more of them this Saturday.

Based on the lineups i saw here i'm not surprised they struggled.

https://twitter.com/stpatsfc/status/626462731479162880

Proper botch job team that. O'Brien barely played last year through injury and being not as good as Gunn. Of the starting XI i'd say only handful at best have a chance at City in the long term. The rest are decent, but its thrown together. Not seen Faupala so i cant comment. The bench is a lot stronger on paper. Bryan, Ambrose (when fit), Maffeo and Wood would probably all improve that team. Fernandes too - lovely little footballer. Technically excellent - just incredibly small.

From last year's EDS team there's Gunn, Humphreys, Garcia, Horsfield, Tosin, Angelino, Byrne, Ntcham, Barker, Iheanacho, Pozo, a fit Ambrose & Maffeo all notably missing. It's weakened basically and not even close to representative of the talent we've got coming through unfortunately for your viewing!

Edit - interesting to note that you mentioned Glendon and Fernandes as two positives, seeing as I would have picked the former as one of the ones most likely to look comfortable in that lineup. Fernandes too always looks good to me in every game I see.

I wouldn't give O'Brien a chance of making it at City. I have seen him have some good games but he isn't in the same park as Gunn or Lawlor imo. I would have hoped Nemane and Celina would have shone in that starting team. Not at all surprised that Fernandez looked good.

I will give a little report later but ended 3-2 to Pats. Mostly agree with Dub City though but will try to go into a bit more detail.

All the eds team that went with the first team were in the stands watching the game so assume they will start on saturday against bohs with the exception of Ian Nacho, not sure if i seen Garcia either but im not 100% sure what he looks like, barker, humphries horsefield were def there. Ian Lawler also with them.

Didn't make it last night but I'm definitely going to Dalymount on Saturday ( bit closer to home )

You definitely didn't see Garcia as he's pictured training with the seniors today, as is Nacho, Evans and Roberts.
