Reportedly out for 4 weeks, which includes Spurs, Soton, and Eveton in the league and Celtic and Barcelona in the Champions League. Maybe even United in the cup. Those are some huge matches.

Be a big miss to not have him for the next month or so. However, we have a big versatile squad so we just get on with it.

I feel sure that will be Pep's mantra.

To be fair, a manager can do nothing else. Well, some will moan and whine about it but it won't change anything. The better ones will have plan A, plan B and plan C already in place for such contingencies. Pep is such a manager. Indeed I suspect the different formations we have tried are all part of this.

hopefully this season's squad under Pep and with new players will be able to handle the loss of Kevin much better than last season's.

Gotta deal. Gondogan and Silva is not exactly a bad backup pairing.

Tough loss, as he's arguably most integral to our play, but this is part of the reality of a long season.

Messi is out for 3 weeks, although seems more likely to be fit against us.

Given we lost our usual fluidity on Saturday due to having one less speed merchant and one more central mid/attacking player on the pitch this might not be as bad as people think.
