First decent atmosphere at the ground in probably two years. It was that good I now have no voice, loved today.

Was the new stand the source, or did other areas make more noise than usual?

Sounded good on TV, that's for sure

Thought the new stand and putting all the singers together did wonders for the atmosphere. Long may it continue!

The 12th Man loved it in the 3rd tier SS.

I'm in the south stand but got the impression it was an all round great atmosphere. I think City deserve credit with the ticker tape etc. it sets things off in the right way. It was the best atmosphere since we beat Chelsea in the cup a couple of years ago when Jojo scored the winner. That was a late aft kick off too.

The commontary actually praised the atmosphere. Seriously can't remember that happening since the day we won the league in 2012.

The view was superb in the new stand - especially for Aguerrrrrrroooo's goal!

The atmosphere was great up there. Three things helped. The fact that these are the cheap seats brings a certain dynamic. Also the fact that the away end becomes an away "stripe" means that their singing can't compete. Finally, the proximity to the roof seems to amplify the sound.

I think the last good atmosphere was Chelsea in the league that season when we came from behind to beat them 2-1. I think the new stand helped and the standard of the opposition. Their fans though we're a joke, champions, my arse.

From Colin Bell stand the sound from the south stand was brilliant. Hairs standing on end sort of stuff. Well done to everyone who's moved there.

I sit in CB3 and rarely hear anything during a game. Today the whole game was raucous thanks to the new stand. Fucking brilliant atmosphere.

Some of us have been there for years. It sounded loud around the ground but 118 has always been jumping

I am with you there. I am all croakey and have a sore throat. For anyone who isn't a south Stand level 3 person. The new roof makes a difference , it was deafening at times. Rock wool can kiss my arse.

Great banter too. We made one Chelsea fan lose it completely.it was so funny.

Point to note: there was a supervisor steward who tried to make all of us sit down in the 3rd tier. He was told he was out of order and a stand up Hants went round and he never came back. We stood up for the whole game

Im in the east stand and respect to the boys in the south they were so noisy I've got no voice and it was worth travelling my 500 mile round trip form Bournemouth to be there. Hope my season ticket arrives tomorrow. Brilliant best I've known at the Etihad

It looked good from the East Stand too, a wall of sky blue and some proper flags, not digital efforts.

I still don't like the roofline at the corners though, hopefully we'll find some way if hiding that.

Can't wait. Seemed abject compared to previous seasons after last.
Hopefully make the Watfotd game as first this season. FANTASTIC start, though I hate to say it.. United somehow equal on points even though we have been polar opposites. As I say to most of my mates (sadly RAG bastard fans), they're stuffy cunts.
Long may our great support and performances continue.

Sounded great on the tele at least, and as I mentioned before, Tim Howard commented during the match on how football players love to play there with the acoustics (due to the roof not allowing sound to leave) and actually praised our fans at home during the match for historically being amongst the best in England during games.

One of few players I take note of when he opens his trap. Met him and his missus walking my dog in Knutsford.. Made me feel very small haha
