That’s not true at all mate. Have you actually looked at that season? Wigan, Charlton, Sheffield Utd to name a few were all worse than City that season.

Our squad wasn’t bad at all. We had some decent players. Distin was still with us then as well. It was the awful management that screwed us over. It was woeful!

All a matter of opinion really. Barton was our stand out player that year, and top scorer with six goals. Says it all. Central defence was our only saving grace, with Distin and Dunnie. And as for gorgeous George, everyone thought he was a great signing at the time, until he turned to shite.
As it ended there were six teams below us, but the only stand out crap side as I remember were Sheffield Utd. Wigan beat us home and away.
I still think Pearce did a job that season, which kept us up. If we'd gone down, I don't think the dodgy Thai would have bought us.

This.. The season of cheering a corner. Dunnie Sylvan were amazing.

So you’re saying Pearce saved us from relegation as well?

Out of interest mate how many matches did you go to that season? I ask because a lot of us were ready to give up our season tickets because of the shit tactics.

Nope, Pearce was paint drying for me Mase, terrible football, The ground was freezing back then, but he got the job done with Dunnie and Sylvan deserving the medal of HONOUR !!

I remember the terrible football and the bloody beany toy but maybe it is nostalgia but I still have a soft spot for Pearce as he appeared honest, hardworking and crap like many of the players (although Geortgias was never hard-working and Dunnie and Distin not crap!)

Absolutely brilliant. That should be broadcast world-wide.

'Only' is just one little word which conveys so much.

It looks as though the Family Man is taking up the mantle of good old 'Arry.

There must be a world of possibilities when you tell 'porkies' like that.

It is pantomime season and Mo's interview last night was one of the best. It was fantastic entertainment.
He said (indirectly) that some of his players are thick as bricks on national TV.
Now he is right of course but even a thick as a brick player will not like that and may find it hard to give 100% to Mo in future.
It does seem to be unravelling at the swamp. He is lashing out at everyone - except himself of course.

I was watching that interview and can't help but notice that he is one fuckign miserable fuckign cunt of a person who seems to hate his job whilst earning millions per year. No matter if the Munchens win lose or draw , his fuckign melted face contorts itself into a heap of molten matter.

Im loving it.

What amuses me is that ANYONE could have told United that it would turn out this way. It always does - it's the Mourinho Way. The guy is pyschologically flawed (as well as being sportingly floored by City - BOOM! BOOM!) so it will be a source of continuing amusement to see him unravel live on TV. It's not that I'm vindictive; it's just that he is such a prick, he deserves all he gets until he gets some psychiatric help.
