MP said in today's Presser that it was a loan. MEN reported that too, but a permanent deal has been announced.

Clearly not in MP's radar eh? 10M euros as reported is good.

Seems that communication at the top is lacking.

That will pay a decent chunk of the running costs I would imagine (having to imagine because I haven't got the first clue how much any of Academy/club stuff actually costs to run). I think it should be seen as a positive for the youngsters coming through as well, a solid second-to-none footballing education with a serious chance of a good career as a player at the end of it.

Wanted more stability so going to a club that will loan him out to the same place we were loaning him? Weird..

Sad to see him go as he looked good, but can see why he would think he will have more regular first team football at Monaco. I assume we have some sort of buy-back clause for lets say 20m pounds in case he becomes the next De Bruyne, Matic or Pogba.

Doesn't really matter what he wanted mate. If we thought he was good enough we would've kept him

8.8m for a kid who has barely played seems a good deal for us.

Rony Lopes sent really lovely thanks to the City fans, all his teammates, the entire club and especially, to Patrick Vieira. I only hope that City has included a buy-back clause and that Rony enjoys great success in his future.

Note to James Milner--- THIS is how to say a proper farewell, to a club and the fans that supported you so well:

For those who know better, who's better Lopez or Patrick Roberts?

To me it seems like we just swapped one for the other.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,

seems like it tbh. Speaking of which, Lopes would have been a HG player as well, no?

Yep, Roberts definitely has the potential but I thought Rony did too, and he's already got bags of experience playing in the City system. I guess Pellers sees something in Roberts, I think he's got something special but then again, I thought the same of Lee Croft.

I know mate. Sometimes you just look at things through sky blue tinted glasses, especially with kids don't you.
Pellers, Vieira and others have seen this bloke day to day and their opinion has surely had a major influence on the decision to let him go. (Or if not our club is run by amateurs)
