Ref Watch

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Temhe amount of city fans that know exactly what's going on is overwhelming.

I don't ever expect the likes of phips to see it, because he just arrived last tuesday.

But genuine question.

Why do one or two of you long term fans poke fun at the ones who can see it or call us paranoid etc?

When the evidence is so huge?

What exactly is it that you need before you say "fair enough, we've been getting screwed for years now?"

As I said, genuine question...

I put it partly down to just being of fare mind. None of us want to believe the game is rigged, it's our national sport, our hometown club where we've invested so much emotion, and money. To believe it is fixed would have you thinking you've just been conned, therefore not being able to carry on being known as a patsy.

Of course, we're all being taken for a ride, it's just the level of bullshit that each person is able to take. I've found my level and it's when I start kicking shit around and literally hitting the roof. From there I calm down and will us to go again.

This would be my guess too mate. People don't want to believe it.

Not surprising that the ones I'm referring to haven't replied to this.

Again, probably because they don't have an answer and to give the one you have cited might make them look a bit silly.

I understand the media's role in all of this, but being told we're imagining it all by fellow blues is bizzare.

To be honest mate, there's not too many who go against it now. The worms have turned.

far greater chance of tonight's fight being 'fixed' than the premier league
still trying to work out who's leading the footy fix and which teams they are looking to favour...

Obviously trolling, nobody, but nobody, could come out with a question like:

If you honestly haven't noticed anything peculiar with regards to officiating then I have say, you must be the most niaive, blind bastard I've ever encountered.

Today's four PL matches will be interesting from a refereeing perspective.
It will be interesting to see what way the calls go.

1. Arsenal desperately need a win over Spurs.
But to keep the chase after Chelsea alive a Spurs win or a Chelsea loss is required?
2. I expect a return to normal service for the Rags and us.
Swansea will be shafted in favor of the Rags (no subs dependant on Swans, lots of subs dependant on Rags in top 4 = Swans shafted)
3. Back to BAU for us, yellow cards, dodgy calls, kicked to pieces, etc... now that the heat has died down after the Arsenal debacle.
I said before the Derby that the ref would be fair. He had to be so soon after the Arsenal game with the world watching closely.
Today it will be BAU.

Says it all really.
I no longer analyse matches and the two teams.
I analyse the agenda (Sky profits) that is implemented via the Refs.
Then decide who I think will win.

That is logical given what we have seen over the last few seasons - sad but true.

Ragsford just dived for a penalty that even MotD 2 said it should never have been given. Yet, once again, the Rags get favourable decisions.

You listening NT?

It was such an embarrassing dive he should be called out big time for it. It's cheating at the highest order, both by player and by referee
