BUT, when Iran meet to discuss the laws, they need to make changes that make them black and white. Remove the interpretation.

They've just changed them over the last couple of days to confirm that the ref was right. Strange that these things always happen when we play, even stranger that they can change the regulations post-match to suit the narrative.

They got caught, broadcasted to millions, with their pants down.

Just occurred to me that I don't think there's any PL refs who aren't white. Not much diversity at all

Unsure what Dean has done wrong today. He's usually sound with us.

Can't complain about last night.

I would be shouting 'agenda' if it was the other way around i.e. we score 5 but Liverpool win via a 'soft' penalty.

Dermot Gallagher as Sky's referee pundit, says Kane shouldn't have been awarded his penalty as he was offside when the free kick was taken, so as soon as he went for the ball, he was thus interfering with play.

Interesting as only last week we had a penalty given against us in the CL, whereby this rule of being offside didn't count. I think it was Peter Walton, the BT ref pundit for that game, who confirmed VAR were right to award the penalty kick.

Now if two recently retired refs and the current VAR system can't agree on something as basic as what the rules are, then what chance is there of there being a level playing field

Anyone see Napoli vs Juve yesterday there was a moment where the ball was smashed at the defender from 2 yards. Ref reviewed and gave a pen. VAR is crap, not gonna help.

Insigne missed anyway.

The playing field has never been level. It's all about who has the biggest influence and there are quite a few who are having a say on the outcome of our games.

Wankers.

Walton on Spurs penalty :

Analyst Peter Walton told BT Sport after the penalty was taken, while watching replays of the free-kick: “You can see here Kane is in an offside position which is missed by the officials. The offence that came first was the offside and therefore the penalty should not have been given.”

A complete contradiction to what he said about the penalty awarded against us.

Exactly. There are some teams who will benefit and we won’t be one of them. In fact it will be used as a stick to beat us with

Just see on ssn Few new laws coming in summer. No rebounds from a pen and subs can leave the pitch anywhere close to the line.

Pen one should be fun when a player misses and slots in the rebound.

So if the keeper makes a save it's a goal kick or something??

Absolutely ridiculous. They're determined to ruin the game aren't they.

Seems really unnecessary to me. Like the ko rule. Change for the sake of it.

The player that is being subbed HAS to go off to the nearest exit from where he is....IE he cannot just nimble at snails pace to the half way line to shake subs hand to come on....he goes off to the nearest exit off the field.

As managers these days instruct players to go to the far side of the field when they know they are being subbed, the new law will just have the manager make them stay central to ensure the time wasting is optimal.
