All the officiating was terrible. Mason above all but they were a team.

I'd prefer 'pack' as the collective noun :x

This is exactly the sort of game where the referee having had a shocker, should be made to explain his decisions after the game.

No explanation required, Sane will probably miss the EFL Cup Final and the next CL tie, job done. Over to the next pack of fixers now.

What's your thoughts mate?

theres 2 options:

Mason saw the Sane tackle and still gave a yellow (if so he should be suspended/relegated as he clearly doesnt know the rules)
or
he didnt see it but still gave a yellow (FA should be allowed to ban the Cardiff player retroactively)
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Has to be the first one then. No ref gives a yellow for something they have not seen ... even the bias ones!

The Sterling penalty v Spuds a couple of years ago. Clattenburg possibly? Think theres more guesswork than they let on

In this case he obviously saw that a foul was committed (worthy of a yellow, because NB he cynically stopped our attack), but missed the brutality of it. I didn't see how bad it was either until I saw the replay, if I'm honest.

Any foul like that should be worthy of a red. Player running full pelt being hacked from behind will always be dangerous. Proper snidy cowards "challenge".

Same for the one on Gundo vs west Brom.

is there something in place for refs to be relegated to the lower divisions for a shite performance?

Don’t know officially, but we often see them relagated for one match then they’re back in the prem the week after.
