Well that was definitely the obvious one, but since he left, there has been one or two who have stepped in when we get robbed to say it has nothing to do with officiating. Or that e should be able to win every game with or without the officials !

That troll Phips is at it in this very thread. But he's a fucking blow in and doesn't understand the game itself, let alone the establishment and the protection they have.

The best bit is being called a conspiracy theorist when there's video evidence each time. That's some thick shit right there. Mind blowing stuff.

Incompetence, bias or conspiracy, you takes your choice.

Exactly. All could be sorted with video replay.

Not really. Obviously bad decisions could be eliminated by video replay, just as bad goal/no-goal decisions have been eliminated by goal-line technology. However potentially contentious decisions (handballs, fouls, offsides, penalty box) would still be open to interpretation and hence bias or conspiracy unless there were a very clear ruling that if the decision is uncertain it's not given, aka innocent until proven guilty. However it would depend how video replays were brought in and how much of the game they would cover - not much proposed at the moment.

You mentioned in another thread of why hasn't Zlatan been done for pushing over Surman. This was on camera clear as day yet nothing has been done about it. Video evidence is only as good as those using and monitoring it. The same people who supply the match officials are likely to be the same people who adjudge on video replays. I for one won't hold my breath that video replays will eradicate the ills in our game. I would actually not be surprised to see bigger imbalances

Numerous mistakes and allowed Stoke to mince through the game.

Swarbrick one of the better refs but he had a mixed bag of a game tonight plus the two linesmen were fucking diabolical !

Swarbrick had a decent game, my only complaint was his interpretation of the advantage rule, he seemed to blow up when he should've played advantage and vice versa on a number of occasions. One in particular toward the end with Aguero, he played advantage and none accrued but he just let play carry on instead of giving us a free in a dangerous position on the edge of their area, infuriating.

I read that piece without looking at who wrote it - and instantly knew it was Brenan. Since there were some complaints (which he came on here to address personally, full credit to him) he's written from the point of view of a City fan almost all the time, which is pretty much all we were asking for.

Not been bad so far but due to the amount of sly digs by them he's beginning to allow them knowing that it's going to have to be a red, and he won't that in this game.

Should we have had a penalty by any chance?

Paul Ince reckons yes.
I thought so at the time but it may have been harsh.
Don't think it was intentional but the defender definitely dragged the ball along the ground with his arm then lay over it protecting it.

Ah we'll just chalk it off as another one so.
