Thought the ref did really well on their disallowed goal.

He didn't see the foul so it's an odd one.

Anyway, don't be praising them for getting things right- that's what they're paid to do!

You're an angry bastard aren't you. Lighten up pal.

No. Very calm actually.

Must be my posting style.
Now fuck off.

They obviously expected Yaya to be sent off within minutes of the kickoff and were disappointed he only got a yellow for a perfectly timed, all along the ground tackle in which he played the ball first in a controlled way.

Now you're pushing it.
There's a difference between getting things right like you're paid to do and being biased.

He certainly wasn't the worst we've had, and I'd take that for the rest of the season, if we could.
But I still don't like how easily yellow cards are dished out to our players for their first tackle, in Yaya's case, while it takes Harry Arter late into the second half to pick one up.

Dirtiest team in the league, don't you know... nothing to see here.

Although, him being biased towards city is a strange one. Which one did he let us away with?
Because he let them away with a foul on Sane in the box.

Odd thing to say, although it may just have been said for trolling purposes, given the poster's previous.

We are all obliged to update our analyses/prejudices in the light of changing circumstances OD and Watford have replaced us at top of the filthiest team table :P

They replaced us at the weekend, but did we not get back to top spot after the thuggery last night?

not quite, we are on equal indisciplinary points but still behind on number of fouls committed

Thought the ref was excellent last night and in an honest way, not in our favour. Can understand why the Bournemouth fans at the game were annoyed, but the replays showed he was correct in his decisions.

The linesmen, however, were awful. For their disallowed goal, he had the best view of it and completely missed it and there was the Aguero chance he blazed over that the other lino missed that he was a good yard offside.

The foul on Sané was a pen, although one of those where you'd be aggrieved if it was against us. I know the rules are the same everywhere on the pitch, but there's always the feeling it needs to be a bit more for a pen due to the advantage it gives over a free kick. And a full speed, I didn't think it was, although the replays showed it was. Thankfully not a crucial decision

Agreed. The sane foul was a penalty.

I've seen it several times now, so another one goes in the book.

It's a bit sad when we agree that it was the best refereeing performance we've had in a long time and the ref robbed us of a penalty.

:)

Just amended it for a bit more accuracy.

Hope you didn't mind.

I'd like to know how the ref made the decision on the Stones drag back. Definitely a third eye away from the field.

That's because he doesn't understand the game and i really can't be arsed to go that far with him.

Ha ha, the same instinct that saw Taylor go for his card against Luiz.

I'm guessing the opposite linesman gave the call to the ref.

1st lino didn't flag and ref wasn't looking so must have been someone else. Can 4th official call fouls?

I believe all the officials can call the foul but, as would be usual, the ref didn't look over to any of the other officials, especially backwards.

We've seen already this season with Taylor and Mason that instructions are coming through their ear pieces, they couldn't make it any less obvious.

However I think Swarbrick saw this, good peripheral vision.
