The FANS

I have a problem with this. I loved the fans of this club, this was the main reason i started to support this club. But i must say I am so disappointed in the changed of attitude I have been witnessing. This privileged way of thinking like we are never supposed to lose or have a bad game or injuries for that matter. These ass holes are making the rest of us fans look bad.

Don't let the idiots get you down and take TSport with a pinch of salt.It wouldn't surprise me if they got none City fans to ring up and say all that sort of stuff. Certainly they wouldn't put many on with common sense as it doesn't fit with their agenda.

Why would you use TalkShite to highlight these supposed fans? That first comment blames Pellers for 'Benching' Hart, not even knowing that Hart had an injury.

As you should know, TS try and lure Blues onto there by being controversial or contrary, and the majority of Blues don't bite. They then cherry pick a few select comments to make a story for the white van man Rag/Dipper supporter to keep them entertained and flood their ears with Hedgehog Brushes and Selco's wares.

Yes, there are a few who have always, or a least at some point, argued that Pellers isn't good enough for us and at times like this those emotions come out. However, I'd suggest that the majority of the fans understand that you can't win every game and it's the minority who are Rag like and take their ball home.

Take no notice of that article, for two reasons. Firstly, the chap who claims we have spent £200m in the summer is wrong, and he knows it.......he isn't a city fan at all. Secondly, every club has fans who have a knee jerk reaction to defeat. Best fans in the world for me. As Doug says, just ignore those who have an agenda.

Funny you should say that. On route back to the UK I stuck it on (start receiving on AM in the middle of Holland) and during the trip a supposed City fan phoned up, said how good we were but then stated he wouldn't attend because he was in protest. I didn't hear what he was in protest at (Mrs gassing down my ear) but I couldn't think of a single thing he would be in protest at.

He then went onto talk about huge transfer signings but we wouldn't win anything with these mercenaries (this was probably why he was in a supposed 'Protest').

Sounded like a bitter Rag to me, he definitely wasn't from the Manchester region.

Just remind them where they've been for the last couple of seasons and reinforce the point that they are now in the Championship race. No excuses if they don't win it with the money they've spent.

It's Talkshite, pay it no heed as it is a station that spews poison as its reason for existing. And it'll lie at the drop of a pork-pie hat. We do have some of these type of fans but not many.

Nice to see they selected balance of opinions. Utter shite. They're running scared because they know they can't stop the tide. Trying to put pressure on Pellegrini and sway 'popular opinion'. Which team wouldn't drop a few points without their 'spine' in place? You can miss one or two key players but not all of them, not even in a squad like ours. Just wait, be patient, and let's see whose name is in the silverware at the end of the season.

Basically, without a spine you'd turn into a jellyfish, yet we were winning until the officials had a massive say in the proceedings.

Advice to all Blues, ignore, laugh at or batter the fuckers. They may say that we were their second club but that all ended in September 2015.

No true City fan would phone Talk Shite to vent his spleen. On the forums "yes", some of us take defeat worse than others. Alpha male stuff. Good to have the occasional rant though.

Ironically it is one of the things I miss the most, it was actually part of our DNA. The lads I used to go to Maine Road with we went from youngsters. All of us local lads. We Started in the Kippax as youngsters ,sitting on the wall at the front with our feet over. Still remember the adults moving all the kids to the front for a better view. Then we started standing in the Kippax, then sitting in the Kippax. Moving over to the North Stand when work started in the Kippax, and never returning, staying over in the North Stand. Everybody pretty much knew everybody in those days. Going to the game you spent an hour before the match letting on to everyone on your way in, It was a religion wearing a City shirt. You had to have thick skin. Wore my City shirt with pride, We were shit so fucking what. Rags hated us because we could still pull in 35,000.most of us were moaning cunts, with good cause though. We invented gallows humour.

These days I look around at the tourists with cameras. And faces I don't recognise. I often wonder how many of them were at the Swamp for their glory, before following us for ours. Sadly we have lost our identity along the way. City was a true working class club, best supporters in the World. I miss our old fan base. Older supporters will know exactly where I am coming from.

I was on my.way how from work the other week and heard a blue discussing non city stuff and when asked about city, he said he was taking a sabbatical because of the way we pursued sterling. WTF complete dick and in no way a true representation of a city fans.

Anyway, anybody, new or old, who likes to join the media in their inane slagging of our good club can get to fuck!

Collymore is my most annoying one, tho i honestly avoid it at all costs. Sometimes out of desperation i tune in for a few minutes just to irritate myself I guess.

Collymore makes me want to be deaf. A lot.

cheers

I was thinking about this the other day, not that I would swap our current situation you understand, but does anyone miss the sort of pressure free days when you weren't really expecting city to win?
Where your hopes for the season was basically, get a few wins and draws along the way and have enough points stored up by march to be safely out the rellie zone and who knows, maybe a wee run and push for a European berth? Perhaps take a big scalp along the way, hopefully utd? Where losing 4-1 at spurs would have a silver lining coz Vassell opened his account for the season for our first away goal?
What am I talking about? I don't miss it at all!!
