Lawro's opponent for this weekend's Premier League fixtures is former NFL star Osi Umenyiora, who will be making his predictions on Football first tomorrow lunchtime, so I have no idea what he will predict ot who he supports, however Umenyiora, born in London, played football as a child before switching to gridiron when he moved to the United States as a teenager. Probably supports the rags!

If Lawro is anything, he is certainly consistent!

Lawro says:
Manchester City's last-gasp win over Borussia Monchengladbach was a great result but it does not hide the fact they got away with another poor defensive display.
The wheels have come off a bit since their defeat by Juventus, when Vincent Kompany was injured. Considering City's vast resources, it is amazing that he is so badly missed.
This strikes me as a good game for City to have, however, because Newcastle have got problems too.
The Magpies were much better in their draw against Chelsea but I think Steve McClaren is right to tell his side's fans that there is going to be more pain before things improve significantly.
Lawro's prediction: 2-0

Merson is a little bit more legible this week after the recent mumbo jumbo pissed up drivel
I thought Chelsea would have slaughtered Newcastle last weekend and that didn't happen. I expect Man City to bounce back from their two shocking results in the league.

Newcastle did as well as they could and still only drew against a Chelsea side that didn't turn up until midway through the second half. I fancy Sergio Aguero to build off his late penalty in the Champions League and steer City back on track.

PAUL PREDICTS: 3-0

Well they're more confident than me, I predicted 2-1.

On paper this should be a rout. The problem is the game is played eleven v eleven on grass. It sometimes throws conventional wisdom out of the window, like Newcastle getting a draw last weekend. We've had a tough away fixture in Europe as well to contend with.

Be happy with any old win and no more injuries. An early goal for us and I think that will relieve a pressure tap and we will win with a cigar on.

+1. A strong mentality is needed here but if we play like we can we will break them down and possibly beat them convincingly

I've gone for an optimistic 4-0 but this could be any score, win or lose, going on current form.

They convinced me.
