Is there anyone watching football in the world who genuinely thinks Shinji Okazaki is a better footballer than Dave Silva?

If you asked a City fan to name the best players in the world, how long would they be going for before they finally said Bony? I'd say 23 hours.
As for Shrek, most rags don't want him in the team, so how's he got there? Utter joke of a list.

Where is the wunderkind and Ballon D'Or in waiting? Someone's head will roll!
Seriously though, where the fuck is Dave. Take off the 'yet to prove himself' Bony and 'turns up when he can be arsed' Yaya and put in one of the world's top 5 players.

Ignoring Silva is bizarre and ridiculous, makes a nonsense of the whole thing.

It's always a joke when it comes to analysis of the shortlist. The shortlist is basically an ass kissing exercise in making certain clubs and countries FA organizations feel good about themselves. In terms of the award, messi is a stone cold lead pipe lock.
I'm bored of the Messi/Ronaldo cartel. But I suppose in 30 years people will look back and say it was the most important story about who was the greatest of their generation and they'd be right.

The official shortlist of 23 candidates for the Ballon has been published and includes Manchester City trio Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne and Yaya Toure. No Dave :-(

Crazy. Whoever makes the decisions is a numpty anyway. We have known this for a long time. I mean Wingerworth has been shortlisted for the manager award.
Still it shows we have come a very long way to have 3 nominated players in the shortlist.

Can anyone even have a stab at a logical reason for this? They won a cup? He's a long serving manager and so gets on there for that?
I like Wenger and admire his approach and contribution to playing good football but this strikes me as totally bizarre.
