Arsenal are the new Liverpool

I see sky are backing arsenal to win the title and getting right behind them with loads of articles being written and a double rimming of Thierry Henry.

It's just like the 2013/14 season again. We are going to be the party poopers.

Sky 4 or little Citeh? It's a tough one for them, isnt it.

The agenda is set, just ask the fuckwit champagne Charlie on Soccer Saturday, he was nearly crying when reporting our game.

Except Arsenal won't get the chance to win it like the dippers did. Once we hit our straps we will smash it

We'll see what the refs have to say about that.

Don't be so certain mate. Without Blue tints I can say that the old Sky 4 get far more decisions go their way and those decisions can certainly have an affect on the season.

It could just be a matter of a penalty here, an offside there, either way that can change the outcome and from what I've seen already this season, they don't want a runaway champion, they need the others to compete to make up for their increased spoend on their product.

Sadly, you are correct. Still, I think we are good enough to win most games in spite of the officials whereas the rags and dippers and arse and chavs will win games because of them. The title is ours to win. We just need to make sure we are still thereabouts with ten games to go, then we will step up a gear

I don't know what you mean by Sky bias.

Manchester City were beaten 3-2 at Anfield in a pulsating game that deserved to be a title decider.

That game at Anfield was Matchday 32 by the way.

Thirty-fucking-two.

I think that we win the league when the team we send on to the pitch is referee-proof most of the time. On that basis I'd have to agree with you.

2nd in points, 2nd in wins, 2nd in goals scored, 2nd in GD.

They were deserved champions that season.

What really pissed me off about liverpool winning the league two years ago is how pundits and fans go on about the palace game and the Gerrard slip.

I have to correct them and say that if Gerrard didn't slip, you would not have won. You couldn't score if you were still playing. Chelsea parked the bus. So it would have been a draw and you would still have lost the league.

Also with the palace game. Even if they won it that day. They would have lost the league on goal difference.

Why let the facts get in the way of a good story eh

The Chelsea game let us back in. The Palace one took the pressure off us. I think it was more of a combo of the two.
It's correct about Ref's decisions. We lost that game at Spurs with the wretched non offside calls in no small part responsible. Similar bad calls could easily have cost us against Borussia and Newcastle.
Fine margins

Exactly Roger. What I would like to know is how come we keep getting Mr Magoo as a linesman this season.

I can't believe that the offside decisions (not given) are not part of a corrupt FA, they are that bad. But, playing devils advocate, the officials have been giving a lot of correct calls in our favour at the other end when the back line in pressing high and playing the offside trap. If that stops we will be in trouble.

Actually lads we've been consistently awarded the most penalties over a season (or very near the top) for the last 5 seasons

That's because they can't refuse all of them. Defenders can't handle us on our day no matter who they are.

I would imagine we have the most wrongful decisions against us for the past 5 years if there was such a league.
