I didn't know the lad but have become aware via Twitter and Facebook that he passed away over the weekend. He was 35 years of age and leaves two young children and a wife. Whoever is going to the game on Saturday there is going to be minutes applause on 35 mins. His little boy will the mascot against Palace tomorrow. He seems to have touched many many people and think we should all get behind this.

RIP blue.

Would be a very nice touch for the lad to be commemorated in this way, especially for his family.

Fair dues Sis. I hope this goes ahead.

Really shit news and no age at all. Mrs was shocked when the news filtered through, she went to school with the family.

Excellent response from City and a great idea for the applause. Make it loud and proud Blues.

Shawzy was a mate of mine. Terribly sad!

Please encourage everyone to applaud around you if you are there Saturday. It'll mean a lot to his friends and family.

Is that Swawzy from our site: http://www.mancityfans.net/mcfnet/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=16846?

That's terrible news. I'll certainly join in with the applauds on Saturday.

There was a really great tribute last night. The applause was loud in the South Stand and around the ground. I'm sure this will be repeated on Saturday. RIP Blue.

Well done to all concerned especially Sergio. I work with one of Chris's relatives and understandably it's hit them hard but seeing how the club i love has reacted makes me proud to be a blue. R.I.P. Chris.

City doing the right thing, and Aguero going above and beyond the call of duty. What a club.
