Staying on your feet.

Not that I feel any great sadness for Chelsea ( although whether we could do with them winning some games is discussed elsewhere ) but it's a pity Remy didn't get a penalty after desperately trying to stay upright after hurdling Stoke's keeper but eventually missing his chance to score. It was still quite clearly a penno and there could be no accusation of diving. Inevetibly it is being reported as "he might have been better going down"" suggesting that cheating would have prospered. In reality it was still a foul and by trying to score he should have doubled his chances. Once with the original opportunity with the official allowing him an advantage, or secondly from the resulting spot kick. It's another message sent out to the Young's, Costa's and Suarez's of this world that they are right to be sneaky little shits.
Shame really.

Agree whole heartedly with that. Huge difference between that and advantage in my book.

That incident speaks volumes about the integrity of Loic Remy, putting our disdain for Maureen and Costa aside.
Agreed, it sends out a clear message that good guys finish last in the game, which is unfortunate.

I thought that Remy was looking for the touch off the keeper which is why he kept a straight leg, but when the contact wasn't there, he was left in a position to stay up or possibly get booked for diving.

Either way, Maureen won't be happy and it will be a onbe way conversation, simply saying 'Next time, you go down!'.

And that's where our perception changes and they are now a diving bastard.

So glad we take the honest approach, even though we don't get as much by doing so.

No contact ,no penalty. One slight touch and that slimeball ref would have blown for it.

How often has Messi left 'lungers' looking silly with his speed and reaction.

The ball rolled awkwardly for Remy, which is a shame because he deserved something for his efforts.

We've had Micah, Dzeko and especially Jovetic in recent times who threw themselves around a lot. And Fern 1 tried it against Norwich

Micah was awful at it. In fact the comedic value is what saved him from bookings.

My mind goes blank on Dzeko tho. I can't think of a single one, was he trying it on regularly and I've lost all memory?

It wasn't rare. I can recall a couple at Anfield that were very questionable

Navas did it as well when he first got here but that was nipped in the bud sharpish. A big thank you to whoever was responsible for that. I'd sooner lose and be honest.

I haven't seen the incident yet but as you describe it, I agree wholeheartedly with your OP and Tim 777's posts on this topic.

I don't agree with this. IMO it would have been easy to keep his feet down for the keepers touch but he chose early to hurdle.

Either way you're right that the special cunt will give him a telling off.

The problem therefore lies with the referees and how they interpret the situation at hand. If and when they give advantage to forwards who are fouled but don't go down in search of attempting to score, then forwards will gradually realise there is no point in going to ground as readily as they do.

The problem tho is that with a pen it's such close contact at such high speeds that often we only know the right answer with a replay viewed several times! How the fuck do we expect them to get it right even 50% of the time is silly.

Replay for all peno shouts. After play has stopped natch.

Cheers

There was a game at home vs Sunderland from memory where he won us a penalty

Think I got on a few nerves in the match thread, but can someone please ask young Raheem to stop fuckimg cheating.

Even if I accepted there was contact (that's a big if for me, he dived) there's no way he gets that peno as hed taken a big fuck off dive not 10 mins earlier. Annoys me no end.

Was the other one where the Villa defender pushed him from behind and the commentator even mentioned that he was lucky not to give a pen?

The problem with Sterling is that he does go down easily but I've not seen him do it without contact. He's not the biggest of lads and at the speed he goes then its understandable how the slightest touch makes him go over.

As for the contact for that you cannot accept, open your eyes you blind cunt, it showed it about ten times. It's not as if he's flailing a leg to try and get contact and like many Blues, I'd call him out if I think he was doing that.
