Did Shteve Maclaren get as much press when he was OS?

Not at all. Sociedad have had more words devoted to them by the BBC than several Prem clubs while he's been in charge.

A crying shame after all he has brought to the game, especially our neighbours. Forza Moysie.

He'll land on his feet someplace. I'm not too worried about Agent Gollum. He's got someone's money not to spend and someone's team to make stalwart at some average level so they can punch above their weight for a bit until it ends like it ends. Which is always will end, invariably, with a whimper and not a bang.

It's tough because if you're Agent Moyes or Big Fat Sam or pick another cunt who is decidedly good at being hard to beat and/or making sure a team doesn't spend money foolishly or can beat the drop it's a fairly unglamorous life, and if you get a shot at the bigtime a la Moysie and fuck it up, whether it's through no fault of your own or not, there's really not an form of climbdown that can make it better...you're just back to that same old cunt you were before, IF you're lucky. And if you aren't lucky? You just one of 50 other cuntflaps who are begging for a decent job.

Save your money kids if you're a pragmatic football manager, because no one, and especially not me, gives a single fuck if you ever get another job again and i won't be buying your biography.

cheers

just looking at the BBC website, it says that gollum's most successful management spell was at the rags, with a better win ratio than Preston or Everton. His record in Spain is just rubbish.
For some reason this amazed me.

Weird. You would think Moyes' pass and move style would have been ideally suited to Spain, lol

I deserved that.

I didn't mean I was surprised at his record in Spain, I was surprised how crap it was at scouse1, and especially Preston.
