Ohhhh geez that's a bummer. He came in when Shay broke his collarbone didn't he? As an emergency signing iirc.
Guy must been less than 40 I'm guessing.
Death offers little cordiality, unfortunately. RIP Martyn. Too soon.
Cheers

From what I understood, he retired 2 years ago after he was diagonsted. He fought the ilness, but he finally lost.
He did his job excelent for us.
PS: No article in the english media regarding this. Terrible.

RIP Marton, that's horrible news.
He did a great job for us back in 2010. Ironically is was Roy Keane who helped us out. When Keane was Sunderland manager he accepted a bid from Holloway who was at Leicester at the time for £1M, then being the true cunt he was, he changed his mind and said he wanted £3M for Fulop instead. Holloway went ballistic as only he can and the transfer never came to pass. If Keane hadn't been a cunt, Marton signs for Leicester and isn't available for us as an emergency 2 years later.

Marton showed his bravery and courage to help, during City's April, 2010 emergency...
... I'm extremely sorry to hear that Marton lost his brave, 2-year battle against cancer and I will always admire him.
"This is a fantastic club, the fans are amazing and they are one of the best teams in the Premier League." -- quote from Marton Fulop, on May 3, 2010.
