Protecting himself, nothing more. Says a lot though, that a PL game takes precedence over a CL game.

If we are to become the best team in Europe, is MP good enough? Many comments before the game as to his inadequate selection. His repeated attempts to play 2 central midfielders in Europe were found out, and yet we all spotted it before he did. He can move on for me and he can take Sterling with him.
