I really don't know where he'd fit in. He'll be too slow now for the Prem and if it's just for the Chumps League it'll piss me off if he went straight in and Nacho didn't.

I can pin point a 60 yard pass even today and i am much older than Pirlo , even older than you and i can run considerably faster than Pirlo too. Anyone can make a pass when not under stress, which is why Pirlo sits so deep.

The man remains class, having lost none of the attributes which made him class.

His sitting deep doesn't make him a defensive player. He would be David Pizarro only much, much better. Absolute no-brainer. Get him in.

Finally someone who can take free kicks and corners.

Was one of the best, but it's hard to see what he can add to the party now.

The Champions League IS the Champions League. Besides which, he's passed England teams off the pitch in two successive international tournaments. No, you can't stick him alongside Yaya. Yes, you can stick him alongside Fernandinho.

There will be games when we have 20-30 minutes left and we either need to retain the ball or make something magic happen when we get it. He would be ideal candidate to pull off the bench.

Why on earth would anyone have an issue with us getting him in on loan? It's bonkers.

The Premier League is very different from Italy, just can't see him making that much of an impact.

He's been linked with a loan to City, a return to Serie A and a move to Turkey since his season has ended.
