Seem to remember something in the summer that had them about $3b as well....but I'm sure it had us at about half of that as a valuation. If so then either the rest of City Group is worth a shit load of money (unlikely IMO) or we've just had a substantial revaluation.

Spot on - it's a new share issue which essentially dilutes the Abu Dhabi ownership stake to give the new investors 13% rather than the current shareholders selling 13%. This is all new funds injected into CFG
