If I had to choose, I'm with you, honestly. Again, I so get though why others like the new one or wanted to go in this direction.

You two cunts can go suck the Eagles cock with three stars then. Start a club. Of two.

The new badge destroys the buzzard with one hand tied behind its back, blindfolded. And drunk.

They could make that stripe wider. Best bit is it's pissed all over Salford

Is a sign, new badge, Salford floods. is an omen of a blue future.

Just the thing to cheer up Blues who come from Salford, you cheeky twats.

It's bad enough that there are plenty of planks who can't work out the difference between the borough of Trafford and the City of Salford.

I hear you, I worry about my friends and relatives back home too but last time we changed the badge we dropped like a stone to the third tier and that was bad.

Replace 1894 with 1880 as well. New badge is a crap design.

I like the new badge. Not Perfect, but way better than what we have now. Would like to have seen the old shaped shield, and an F.C.

Aside from that, yeah it's a bit busy and the 1894 is unnecessary, but it's growing on me..

It annoyed me, but then I saw a curved mock up and it looked ridiculous as the T and Y virtually touched. The only way out is to add FC afterwards, allowing it to space out, but they wanted a badge for the women's team as well and clearly wanted the City to stand out. I'd prefer FC, but I understand why they've dropped it.

Remember, Cook sold the idea of a global 'City' brand to them before they bought us, so this badge as the centrepiece of the City Football Group has been 7 years in the making.

I don't really understand the badge for the women's team business..if that's truly the case why's 1894 on there, women's side wasn't formed then..I just think it looks a bit amateur..

Assuming the women have exactly the same badge, as will the youth teams etc, then all it says is that Manchester City was formed in 1894, which is correct (ignoring the 1880 argument). So it works for all current and any future teams and has the word 'CITY' shown prominently, which is what the whole thing is built around.

Not my personal preference, but I suspect it may be the best to create a global brand. Time will tell if we see millions of Chinese in replica shirts (hopefully genuine ones!)

I asked my designer wife about the badge sticking out and she thought the badge would lose all its edge if it stayed within the circle. It's very safe and borderline boring as is. We both think it's too white.

You must first find a wife designer, which is easier said than done.

A wife designer is easy - I've seen loads on websites I'd definitely pick. And never mind Back to the Future, when are we getting that gadget from Weird Science?

I think the badge might grow on me - that straight text for 'City' just grates on my nerves though. (I don't mind the shield overlapping) - and I would like to see 'FC' on it, to keep up the tradition with the other badge designs.

They listened to the complaints and removed it. That was what everyone was complaining about, wasn't it...

I don't think they could do that even if they wanted. Manchester City FC Limited was formed in 1894, claiming to originate from an earlier date would almost certainly be against company law. Yes the club has its roots in 2 earlier organisations but Ardwick FC was dissolved and a new company formed, it wasn't just a renaming.

Looks like the club are gearing up for next season & the new badge early, pretty much everything with the current badge now 30% off, i can see that discount getting bigger as the season wears on.....

I cannot believe that it still being sold at those prices. They should heavily discounted at least 50%.
