A Ship In Full Sail.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

There's an extra badge on the IPO site, which is also in b&w. You can only search by number, hence I tried the next one and this appeared. There could therefore be further ones that just happen to have later numbers, so maybe Saturday will introduce them all ready for a vote or maybe they are trying to trademark as much as possible in advance of finalising based on feedback.

There are some rumours on Twitter that it is a hoax to put us off. Based both on that (it differs from the other CFG crests). And obviously some are claiming to be 'itk' that this is not it.

But imo it is more likely the club have just dropped a bollock and they didn't think it would leak from IPO.

Ah well, I'll soon be on the wine so heavily I'm gonna forget this until we actually unveil it lol

I tend to agree with that. It could well be a hoax to put us off, but this is City so it's probably more like we just dropped a bollock.

Whatever the final design is it should definitely have FC or Football Club on it.

No City badge has ever had football club on it, apparently

They wanted an 8 year old to do it. Give back to the community and all that. I like the idea that they had of going to a Primary School and doing a competition.

I'm disappointed. I care about the badge. However, I'm glad we got rid of the stars.

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

It's okay, but some of the fans' mock-ups we saw were better. It better than the Eagle and glad to see the back of the stars, but shame about no Maltese Cross. On the whole though, while the badge is important, having a proper blue and white / red and black kit next season counts for more for me.

Don't mention the cross, or they'll shoe horn that in as well - put it on the rose and it'll look great in 3D.

I'm looking forward to seeing it on a shirt. If they put it in the middle, I might decide I like it. The one for the away shirt looks OK, so maybe the colour one will grow on me.

I liked the eagle around the ship as well. But this is clean and clear and pays respect to the old badge which is what we all wanted.

So yep, it'll do for me too.
