Kev & Yaya

For me, 2 big players that need to do more.
1) Kev. I feel like I'm the only blue who hasn't been all over de bruyne since we've bought him. Quality player, good stats as soon as he joined, but for me he is a square peg and we don't know where to play him yet. Have we played the same team that smashed gladback yet? Sterling and Navas give us width. Navas, yet again changed things. Not individually, but how we set up as a team. He can also take a corner. We seem to shuffle de bruyne throughout the game. Not sure why dave is coming off before de bruyne is. Kev needs to be running games.
2) Yaya. Sky pretty scathing on him, lazy all game then turns it on to get a goal. Henry/Carragher saying we can't play silva as a 10 and yaya in the same team.
We need everyone fit and we need some leadership and organisation. Yaya doesn't work as captain. All this makes Vinnie look more important than he actually is. We miss his leadership more than his performances.
I'd like to see Navas, Sterling, Silva, Delph, Dinho play. Rotate Sterling as he has off days.

Kev should be central.

We just cannot seem to get the balance right at all this season.

Well if the manager picked the right team for the right games we would have a chance

Do you think his team selection was wrong tonight?

I asked that in the match thread prior to ko. The consensus what that it was right.
I honestly believe we lost the game plan when we got a little fired up just before the first goal. Started pressing higher up the pitch leaving the usual spaces behind instead of continuing the plan and letting them have the ball on the hallway line.
As soon as we overpressed we lost the defensive hold and played into thier hands.

OK. Before the game I had a feeling our best approach was a counter attack with pace. When I saw the line up I thought pellegrini had lost his marbles. Our two best central players are playing wide. Our two fastest wide players are on the bench. I felt sick and thought WTF what do I know.
Well I am now sat here thinking that I would love to know why he did what he did, as it makes no fucking sense to me
I have always backed the manager at City and it seems stupid to not back him now as we are going well and in 4 competitions. But it seems he is fucking gormless.

If you can't win a game, then don't loose it. That's what a good manager would do in a big away game.

Why the f@@k do we start with Yaya on the pitch. He did f@@k all till he scored the goal, then put his foot to the floor......."Er right boys we're losing, think I should work a bit harder" Use the c@@t as a super sub as his legs are no good for 90mins
Agreed about Navas. He though should spend 15hours a day on shooting practice........Can believe the opportunities he's had and not scored this season. So Manuel, where you managerial skills....f@@king sort it out

Fair enough, it was the team I wanted to see except I would've started Sterling over Aguero so we could keep them stretched with his pace. That said it was working very well for half an hour and had DeBruyne scored it would've been a deserved lead. That goal was a real sucker punch, our heads went ( which is worrying) and then Mangala fucked up and it was curtains. Played right into Arsenal's hands second half with just two centre mids but we had no choice but to push bodies forward.

Sorry. I couldn't disagree more. It was not working well. We had one shot off target in that half and it was an easy save for Cech. We had the ball and did fuckall. I could set up a Sunday league dog and duck to play against city. It's static and predictable

It's funny how we can see the same thing so differently. We had the better of it up until they scored, there was little difference between the chance Walcott took and the chance Silva skied. The stats at ht was 7 shots to 2 in our favour.

If, just before their first, De Bruyne's shot had squeezed inside the post or he had squared it to Silva for a tap in then we'd have almost certainly had a very different game and result and we'd all be praising the team and the selection. KDB usually makes good decisions, that one didn't come off. That's how fine the margin was, let's not get overexcited, we are still very much in this title race.

Both Produced in a game, OK we lost, that has more to do with a worldly and a bad player making another mistake. Starting Kun was another Pellers error, as bringing him on last 30 gives him mins on the pitch. Navas, Mango are being carried top sides do not carry players, we faced Arsenal missing there two best players. They coped we don't. 17 points from 12 games is a joke for us.

I think every fan we have knows that Kun needs games to get back to his best following an injury lay off. Was it right to start him as soon as he's fit? Not sure...
Navas, fucks sake mate I'd rather you shoot and blaze it over than attempt some fucking crazy pass that clearly wouldnt work.
Yaya, gutless penis. I don't know if he had a specific job to do, such as fuck all, for 60/70 mins but to suddenly come alive like he did, DO YOU FUCKING THINK WE ARE ALL STUPID, DO YOU THINK THAT A 20 MINUTE EFFORT AND A GREAT GOAL REDEEMS YOUR FIRST 70 MINUTES PERFORMANCE, NO IT FUCKING DOESNT. YOU FUCKING MASSIVE WASTE OF TALENT.

There really is a question mark about why we seem to think we can "impose" ourselves enough to win every game rather than consider trying something else.
Interestingly enough, Wenger's post-match comments seem to suggest he didn't like that they didn't have more possession and score more rather than win in another way sometimes.
