Was speaking at work with someone yesterday who does the timetables for a train company and I was shocked to hear trains haven't run on Boxing Day for a number of years. Piss poor

Even train drivers deserve a day off.

Apart from Pics ;-)

You've just noticed there are no trains on Boxing Day? WTF? Now THAT is piss poor. It's been that way since Adam was a lad.

We guard our 'no work on Boxing Day' carefully. Although coming in from Hudds it's a nuisance for the match.
On the other hand, it's a full normal service on New Year's Day.

Manchester, the 24-hours-a-day city, as long as it's spread over 3 days out of 7.

There aren't mate. I looked last night from both Pemberton and both Wigan stations and they're not on. It'll take you to 27th.

Pretty good compared to Oz. Two trains a week each way between Adelaide and Melbourne!

Yes you were right The trains were for tomorrow. I have driven in and am staying over. Had to get a taxi up to the ground. Double fare on Boxing Day. Not very convenient these trains being off I did pm you back so hope the train details for future games got through to you.
