Point blank said, Kompany is a liability, fucked our season because he was injured, and fucked our last season because of his form. I don't want to sound like a cunt, I know how important he and Yaya were in out titles, but when they started acting like they do, maybe it is time to move one.

Nobody is more important than the club.

Well we've no idea how Denayer would have fared or the partnership he'd have formed, so it's impossible to say.

And how has Kompany 'started acting like he does'? What, injured? How's that linked to Yaya? Do you want to add Aguero in as well? How about Zaba. And Silva's missed quite a few games, so is he acting up?

Different situations, pal. Zaba and Silva had different injuries, while, imho, Sergio was forced every single time.

However, those three showed they care about the club, Vinniel did not, at least this year, while Yaya? He doesn't care about us since cakegate. This is the second episode like this with Kompany, he comes in and then baaam, injury.

So how has Kompany showed he doesn't care for us? By playing yesterday because both he and the club obviously thought he was fit? By slipping trying to deal with the rubbish pass from Mangala?

You are a sharp fella and a good poster, you know I am talking about the whole playing for Belgium incident.[/qkeeper
I assumed that was what you were referring to. I don't particularly like international football, but you can't expect any player to bin off playing for their country in case they get injured. Pain in the arse, but it comes with signing internationals. I'd actually question the real motives of any player who didn't want to represent their country - if I'd been good enough to play at a level higher than 5-a-side with mates, I'd have played anywhere for England, from striker to keeper and I'd have been pretty pissed at my current employer (for that is all they are to pros) telling me I couldn't.

The whole reason we got him in the first place is because Hamburg (I think) were trying to prevent him from playing for Belgium in the Olympics.

What games did he play and how badly was he needed? Answer that and you'll see why he's not as beloved as he once was this season.

That was the point, they played Israel, they needed to beat Israel to win the group. They were already qualified since september. He went off in the 58 minute.

I thought they'd already won the group and it was to earn the top FIFA ranking spot?

Regardless. He's going to play when fit for whomever needs him.

Anyway we need to move on. Completely unreliable and impossibly too sketch. Honestly wasn't our best defender in either championship season.

Nice rewrite of history there.

He is our captain and an amazing one at that. He's the guy you want to never leave. You want him being wheeled out on match days at age 90 after a successful playing and management career at the club.

He's the one that knots it all together. People keep whinging we need leaders on the park. He's the one that shows people how to be leaders.

To want him gone is just bonkers. Pure and simple.

Is the rewrite part directed at my comments? Do you have an actual point of view or just silly comments about wanting him around forever?

Of course you can. He sets the tone in training. In between games. They are together as a group for more than just 2 hours a week.

One would assume he may have had some sort of surgery to be out for that long. Fingers crossed it has worked if he has. If he has recurrences of his calf injuries, then for us, he must be finished, or at least a squad player at best

He's becoming the elephant in the club, as it were. Every week the media say we can't play without him. Threads all the time.

Probably best to actually forget that he exists and get on with it

We're paying a fucking big salary for somebody to set the tone in training.
I do wonder if it's time to bring a top class defender in and assume VK ain't gonna turn out for us.
The centre half position feels really vulnerable right now.
