Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!
by trueblue64 » Mon May 06, 2019 9:43 pm
This is what Pep said.
At the end of the season we are going to talk to Vincent, clearly, he knows. He is an incredible human being, an incredible person, he helped me a lot. I was sad that we could not use him a lot for the process, but we always know we can count on his personality.
“This club is where it is thanks to guys like Vincent. At the end of the season, after the FA Cup, we are going to decide what is best for both parties.
“I said before that we will finish the season and after we are going to talk. I talked to him three weeks, one month ago.
“We spoke fluently two or three times about it being his last year and after we would take a beer together and going to decide what was best for him and the club. So, there are no problems about that.”
There's only one mancity and one mancityfans.net

My friend text me: 'Kompany… what a legend he is going to be when he retires… a proper leader'. My mate is a dyed-in-the-wool Arsenal fan.

Even before tonight I was, and still am, hoping he would stay for another year, at least.

He is a credit to the club on and off the pitch. What better way to finish than to lead the team out at Wembley and hold the trophy up at the end? Can’t beat that for a finish.

I get that, but that game is at Wembley, not his home stadium.....
IF this is swan song as a player then fair play, IMO, I think he deserves a year off somewhere like Caribbean (may be CFTG would oblige? ).
Beyond that , if not immediately, within the next 3 or 4 years he will be back involved at the City campus.
Kaptain K is now part of our DNA, dont you worry....

Love Zabaleta tweeting THE CAPTAIN. Fucking legend. Was at the Etihad for his goodbye. He was so moved by the fantastic reception he couldn’t kick a ball.

Kaptain Kompany. Legend.
If Carl had of had his way, he'd be long gone.
Attack the argument of the person, not the person of the argument- except Carl.

Carl can take it and like all blues today will be on cloud 9, plus having his head on that ball worked !!!!!!

He was immense wasn't he ))...I think I was nearly as impressed with his blocks (Whilst on his back ) as I was with his goal.......not much mention of this but he made some serious blocks that could and probably would have been a goal.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

He was magnificent. Has to get another year, surely.
