Well we are at Goodison tonight and I think its going to be a very close game, I thin both teams will score and I am not confident at all with our performances of late. I am going for a 1-1 draw. Come on City and prove me wrong in a good way and do what we did to west ham in the last semi final!

Everton haven't been great of late and if we turn up I think we can take a narrow advantage into the home leg. It wasn't that long ago in the days of Gollum where Goodison was one place I dreaded us going to.

We aren't likely to win the tie tonight. But we want to make sure we are still in it for the home leg. Thus Pellegrini will not put anything other than a full strength side out. I'm all for that as it goes. We are two games from Wemberley

Everton played a hell of a game on Sunday afternoon, might only have been 1-1 but that game was pretty much end to end at pace from what i saw of it, hopefully they'll be tired as a result & obviously we've had an extra 24 hours rest which should help.

That all said and done, i'm a tad pessimistic for this like most of our away games this season so i went in search of something to cheer me up and spark a bit of confidence.

We've only played these twice in the League cup

14 Oct 1969 Manchester City v Everton 2-0 League Cup
20 Jan 1988 Everton v Manchester City 2-0 League Cup

That didn't inspire me so i looked elsewhere and was quite surprised with them one of our historical bogey teams, but it appears we haven't lost to them since March 2013 in the league, since that date we've played them 5 times drawing one and winning four.

a 1-1 draw sounds about right to me

We played in flip flops WW. Navas even went to the toilet during the game, If Negredo had not read his mini statement before the game he would have been fine, he did,found out he was flat broke and missus had fooked off back to Spain.

I saw the first half of Evertons game on Sunday and they were woeful. Chasing shadows. How they went one up God alone knows.
The last three away games have been against arguably tougher sides, all on a high, and we've been OK in all of them. Should have won at Arse, reasonable tricky point at Leicester and a fine win at Watford.
Stopping Lukaku is a concern mind.
It's a big game and in recent history we've usually risen to the occasion.
