Reading someone suggest a loan for tevez in another thread got me thinking.

If you could have any one player that has been with us in the past who would it be?

I'm not talking which legend would fit in today's side, I'm saying if you got a free transfer for anyone we have already had, who would you bring back?

Oh and I'll have tevez, I think replacing bony with him would win us the title.

Boetang or Garcia for me to fill immediate gaps. Oh and Kasper to replace Willy.

It's got to be Andrea Mancini hasn't it, joking aside are we talking about present day players that would be a real possibility or anyone from any era PBL ?

Oh just read the post again, i'd go with Tevez or Boateng. If Sturridge could stay fit i would consider him as well.

Sturridge is a good call. They were talking about Liverpool giving up on him and it crossed my mind he could be worth a risk for us.

Javi Garcia. Better than Fernando and could fill in competently at centre-half when alongside pace. Improved dramatically for us in his second season and then we let him go, his having played a consiserable part in our winning the league. That's never sat right.

Boteng would get in the team and Tevez would be good for a year or two. Kasper and Panties are safer hands than big Willy. Everyone else has dropped off since, justifying our decision to let them go (De Jong, Johnson, Lescott). Barry still looks decent but he's too old now.

I was watching the highlights from the 6-3 Arsenal game yesterday. We played such free flowing football, everyone has happy, everyone was running, we were a team. The confidence that we'd just score more than they would was right there to see.

We're missing that at the moment.
