Manchester City right-back Pablo Maffeo has joined Spanish side Girona on loan after signing a new three-year contract extension with the Premier League club.

The defender has appeared on the City bench a number of times this season but is yet to make a first-team appearance.

Girona, who play in the Spanish second division, already have Chidiebere Nwakali, Florian Lejeune and Ruben Soriano on loan from Manchester City

Great town! Have had umpteen Costa Brava holidays with Girona as a base.
I rather stay in Girona and have a rental car to explore the surroundings and go to the beach rather than staying in a seaside resort.
You get a 4 star hotel in Girona for the price of a substabndard 2 star one on the coast.
