Greg Dyke - better if liverpool and rags challenge

Postby Fidel Castro » Thu Jan 14, 2016 1:36 pm

Does anyone remember Dyke coming out and saying it's in the premier league best interests, if rags and dippers are challenging for titles etc? I am certain this happened, but am struggling to find a link

I'm not sure it was Dyke - that other guy was being asked about 'the product' of the Premier League when the RAGs and Liverpool were doing shit, and I think he said something about it being in the league's [commercial] interest for those two well supported teams to be doing well.

Yeo Scudamore.
It's moments like that when I truly believe the game has to be corrupt. Too much money involved for it not to be
City and sniffing knickers.
Come on Blues.

Well this is it in a nutshell.
I don't think the premier league want one team to win it all the time. They want it to be close all the time. And if they see there is a good chance it won't be, early on in the season, they will use their influence later to ensure it is the "most exciting league in the world" each time.

There is nothing more important to them than this, not even in the interest of fair play.

This is so crystal clear, only a fucktard could not see it at this stage.

They seemed perfectly happy when United were winning it 5 times in 7 years after 2006, and did everything they could to stop us winning Our first title which would have seen them win 6 out of 7 seasons
