Lawro and Degenerate Crackhead Gameweek 22

Postby Wonderwall » Fri Jan 15, 2016 1:26 pm

Lawro and DC have lost their senses today and see us as a shoe in for goals galore!!

Lawro's opponent for the latest round of Premier League fixtures are Creed stars Michael B Jordan & Tony Bellew.
Everton fan and professional boxer Bellew plays 'Pretty' Ricky Conlan in the film, that sees Sylvester Stallone reprise his role as the former world heavyweight champion Rocky Balboa.
Balboa is trainer and mentor to Adonis Johnson - played by Jordan - the son of his former rival Apollo Creed.

For anyone wishing to see this film, don't bother, I watched it last night and its crap. typical Stallone rocky tripe, with Everton being involved. Steer Clear!! I cant believe they didn't have subtitles for Stallone and Bellew!!

Lawro says

Crystal Palace were beaten at Aston Villa, which is a poor result for anybody, but particularly for the Eagles given they went into the game with the best away record in the Premier League.
I think Alan Pardew's side will be much better at the Etihad but the bad news for them is that I think Manchester City will improve from their last game too.
David Silva has not been himself since returning from injury, which has not helped Manuel Pellegrini's men but, when he came on against Everton, there are signs that the Spaniard is getting his sharpness back.
Lawro's prediction: 3-0
Jordan & Bellew: 1-0

Merson says:

No-one likes to say a side is a one man team but Crystal Palace are really missing Yannick Bolasie at the moment. He is becoming a much better player being out of the team and they have missed his talents immensely. Wilfred Zaha hit the post after a minute against Aston Villa, but after that they never really looked like scoring at Villa Park.

I do not see anything but a Manchester City win here. If Palace had a full team out then I would think they could cause City's defence problems but without Bolasie they just haven't got the pace in the team. They have got Zaha but having pace down both flanks is a totally different proposition. I see City bouncing back from their draw with Everton thanks to a comfortable 3-0 win and Sergio Aguero scoring first.

PAUL PREDICTS: 3-0

3-0 would be great but Sly's 1-0 seems more in line with current form. Any win will do.

It will be a very cagey tight affair I reckon. One goal will win it. Just hope it's us that get it

It's a pity the injured players are still injured. These press conferences are utter bollox....Bony was supposed to be back last weekend but is still out. What's wrong with Fern 1 etc? I'm just hoping for any kind of win tomorrow. Some of these players need a break
