At the moment we are still in 4 comps but imo winning all 4 is nigh on impossible so which ones do we prioritise? For me it has to be the league and COC as we have already reaced the Final in that. The CL and FA Cup will be imo 2 comps we won't win the CL because we are not yet good enough and the FA Cup because the CL will dictate our team strength for the Chelsea game.Discuss.

I'd pretty much agree with that. I never want is to lose. But it wouldn't break my heart to go out of the Fa Cup. It sort of gets in the way a little, particularly as Leicester, like Liverpool two years ago, just have to trot out for Prem games.
I think the club possibly see the CL as highly important. We do need to raise our coefficient and it's in Eurooe that you can make football sit up and take real notice of you. We have a winnable tie at last, and with a kind draw we could go to the very late stages.
I really want the league cup now.

Id agree with that at this stage, but do think we need to change our mentality a little bit as we go. Winning breeds winning and Barcelona don't prioritise what to win, so soon enough why should we.

Life will be unbearable if the dippers win the League Cup.

Life will be unbearable if we don't win the League, except if Leicester win it.

Life will be unbearable if an English club goes farther in the Chumps League than us.

Life will be unbearable if certain clubs win the FA Cup. We need to go deeper than them.

Nope, no priorities except the next game.

That seems to be club policy which we aint going to alter, so I'm OK with that.

The League, but losing to Liverpool in the cup would be unthinkable.

The first priority is still being in with a chance of 4 trophies on 1st of March (which means we will have won one by then).

I think the Sheikh wants world recognition. This is probably best achieved in the champions league.

I think that's how the club sees it.

League - for obvious reasons

League Cup - Way to win a trophy in a competition that ends early enough to not affect the late season push for the league.

CL - Especially now with KDB out, seems less likely we are going to get past the quarterfinal or semifinal. If we make it to the quarterfinal the club hierarchy will be satisfied enough, depending upon who we draw.

FA Cup - Is lowest because of how long the competition goes on for. I think we want to win 2 trophies this season and we are already in the final for the League Cup and favourites. if we are still in CL, and win the League Cup we will surely care about this less. If we lose to Liverpool this may move up past the CL, especially if we knock out Kiev, as it is a more realistic tophy we can win.

Swap the last two round, we can go for CL next season once the "messiah" has arrived :-)

My priority will be any two that includes the league so The Count gets another double.

The FA Cup comes above CL every time for two reasons

(A) It is still the FA CUP & if we make the final there is an outside chance of getting a ticket to the match

(B) CL final tickets currently (after a very quick search) starting at £850 (and go up to over £4K) for which i could have two weeks holiday and wouldn't be lining the bent as fuck pockets of UEFA.

Here's what Pellegrini said before the Norwich game:

“It’s a lot of games. If you ask me, I always prefer to play in all the competitions,” Pellegrini said.

“But I am worried about the FA Cup, because after the early rounds, you start having to postpone your Premier League games to continue in the tournament.

“I am not sure if you can continue in all the competitions. I think if you play in the semi-final of the FA Cup and you are in the semi-final of the Champions League, then you don’t have time to play all of your Premier League games.”

I took from that that the FA Cup is the least of our priorities. I think his team selections in both FA Cup games to date suggested the same.

I'm happy to try different players in the Fa Cup, at least while we are still in the CL. The situation can change mind.

Exactly. The FA Cup is not as highly regarded by Premier League teams that last into the knockout rounds of the CL with a real chance to win the league. Chelsea I believe approached last season similarly, as did we the season before. Won the League Cup, focused more on the league and CL. Arsenal has been knocked out early in the CL, or always had draws they likely expected to lose against, and not been in as serious contention for the league the past few seasons. They have wanted to win any trophy to keep their fans moderately satisfied after the long drought.

Yup. League always always first, bread and butter.

LC as we're in the final is an obvious priority.

Don't care too much about FA but would be very nice to lift that one again.

Disagree Gillie about not having a chance in CL. Don't think we will but we can always give it a lash, as good a chance a s anyone else with the team we have.

(edit)As the years roll on, the CL will become more and more important to our owner, prestige and all that

Now that were in the final get the league cup in the cabinet. Then the league. If we do that it would be an excellent season.
For next season,
1 League
2 CL
3 FA
4 LC

Easy for pep....lol

The League is the one for me. But, if I was allowed to chose a trophy for us to win it would be the Champs League. Champions of Europe would give us some bragging rights.

FA want the Chelsea tie to be played at 4 on Sunday. We have to leave next day for Kyiv. Chelsea travel to Paris. We have asked for Friday night, Chelsea opposing. If we play on Sumday afternoon we'll have no choice but to play a severely weakened team. It will serve the FA right. They want Clubs to take the Cup seriously and then they play stunts like this

I wondered what was going on with the televised fixtures. They are normally announced by now and tell fa Emirates twitter account tweeted this morning that they would announce soon.
