I was thinking a similar thing after the game on Sunday.

Liverpool, Chelsea and rags seem a long way off getting into the top four this season. Of course one of them might, but right now it looks like Arsenal might be the only one of them to do it. If Spurs don't have their usual issues with the manager at the end of the season, then they could also be regular contenders for a top four spot, meaning only two of the originals might to make it the following year.

I'm not sure it will make much immediate difference to Sky's enthusiasm for their favourites though, as that is based more on those teams ability to attract TV audiences rather than their actual performance on the field. As other teams like us and Spurs keep appearing that will change, but it will take a few years. So I expect them to keep fawning over their pets and hailing every CL qualification as a rebirth for now.

The problem Poccy at Spurs is that now he has had a good season the goalposts will be moved he will be required to achieve more than ever mostly impossible feats.

I am only speaking personally but whilst I am no fan of Spurs I think the more teams competing for the top 4 the better. I bet most scum and dipper fans wouldn't be able to say the same. Bad old moneybags City had the audacity to break up the cartel and we have never been forgiven for it.

I heard a rag make the point recently that our league is poor and the inconsistency of all the top teams this year is indicative of a declin in quality, whilst his ultimate benchmark for a top league is to get teams to the latter stages of the champions league.

It didn't cross his simple mind that clubs like palace being able to afford talent like cabaye, adebayor, Stoke with bojan, shaquiri and affelay, is an indication of exactly why the premier league is better than it ever has been this season, and an indication that the fight for talent is driving deeper into the league than ever before.

Clearly the thick rag cunt couldn't conceive that the German, French, Spanish and to an extent the Italian league's are not much better than Scotland for depth of quality and competition, and that the 'rest' of those league's are made up of teams making up the numbers because of the financial disparity that those league's create with uneven distribution of tv money.

We have to commend the premier league for sticking to their guns on even distribution of tv money.....it's taken the likes of city and Chelsea to spend a fortune to catch up and break the monopoly, but eventually I think we are now moving towards some sort of level playing field because the sky 4 aren't guaranteed their £40m extra tv money (and at least the same in additional commercial deals) every year for the formality of finishing 4th and ending up in the champions league

Classic rag/sky4 mentality

Certainly Sky are doing their best to put a positive spin on the rags this season. Putting up an injured eleven for example or by saying how they have one of the best possession ratios.

Just call a turd a turd

They are trying to Polish the turd, but all they are achieving is rolling it in glitter. Everyone knows what's under the surface of their article.

I think half the problem is a lot of people are thick enough not to realise what's under the surface and they take what is written as gospel. If you tell enough people enough lies then it will be redirected as fact

Exactly.

The amount of times I've had some plonker tell me some story out of the star or the mirror like it's fact is unreal.

They are scum

I think the coverage of the cup final at the weekend, both before, during and after the game affirms where the priorities lie.

Clue: it isn't with us

I thought they wrote Chelsea off just as they would us. Whereas as you say Utd and Liverpool are still the SKY 2. End of. However shit.

Bang on. I think it's a Sky 2 as well. Good clue this week was the commentary during the scum arse match. They just can't help themselves with dippers and scum.

Having said this, the situation is actually worse than Sky this season.

MUFCTV - BBC and their FA Cup coverage of scum and their affiliate Salford, this coupled with the documentaries on people associated with them as well. So bad they got questioned on it.

Then we have LFCTV - BT Sport. How many dipper games did they cover this season? Seems to have been a lot.
