Chelski chat

I can honestly say I don't have any feeling, one way or the other about this game. Obviously I want City to win, but I think you can't fight the system, and the system doesn't want us to win. CTID Hants has it exactly right in the predictions thread. This game has been completely engineered by the FA and the media, and not in our favour. The Count has made it clear that the CL is the priority, so screw em! I would send the ground staff to play tomorrow afternoon, and see what the BBC do with that.

For what it's worth, the chavs seem pretty reasonable with their comments.

Enjoy :)

Team Selection

Courtois
Azpilicueta - Cahill - Ivanovic - Baba
Matic - Fabregas
Pedro - Willian - Pato
Costa

And the rest...

Optimistic for this one. City have enough quality to win but I thought the players gave a good account of themselves in Paris...Home advantage and City thinking about the CL mean I think we might pip this one 2-1

Agree with you, I'm optimistic for this game and also It's a must win game for save our (poor) season...We will have to put the same XI than yesterday...2-0 to us

Really looking forward to this. We've had a couple of trial runs as it were, and good ones at that, can't wait.

Man City are playing like a side that has nothing left to give after the announcement that Pep would be taking over in the summer...Quietly confident we'll win this especially at home.

A lot of talk that they will be resting a good bit of players for CL next week.

City look to have lost impetus to win anything after Pep's announcement. That is the only reason why I think we have a chance. Hope we keep Aguero quiet. And I am not sure Matic is much of an upgrade over Mikel, He has been terrible this entire season.

good time to be playing them, i think they have totally binned this season with the pepe announcement and mugged pellegrini right off but... i am still not confident, we seem to struggle against them

Biiiiiiig Game

I have no idea how this game will go. Hopefully City have another off day
I think they will and I'm massively confident we're going to walk this. Be interesting to see which team they pick though because they went with Caballero and Iheanacho headling a slightly weaker line-up in the last round away to Villa with Aguero and Silva on the bench alongside a group of youngsters...Having a match in Kiev 3 days later before a league cup final next weekend isn't the easiest thing to prepare for either so there's plenty of scope for their eyes to be off the ball...I think we score at least twice and progress comfortably which will inevitably be hailed as a 'turning point'.

Apparently JT is not going to be ready for this match, so I guess the line up will be like the one in Paris, with the doubt of Hazard starting or not.

If they play a weakened team ahead of CL, I fancy us

This trophy is our last chance to silverware this season and Hiddink has made this competition our No. 1 priority. He'll put the best team out there no doubt about it…We should go through on Sunday if they indeed rest their best players.

I fancied us in this game even without the supposed weakened lineup. Will be utterly shocked if we don't win.

Youngsters can turn out better than senior players in some games so you never know.

Should be straightforward on paper but so many games have been and ended up far from it.weak team means sod all.we need to just make sure we turn up from the start

I'd rather Man City play their real team than play their kids as is being suggested. Imagine if we lose to the pier youth team whilst we're playing our best XI…

This game is more important than the PSG one was.

3-1 us....Costa x2, Willian and Inehacho for them

Back in Blighty to watch this; wish I was there though. Pellers has stated he'll play the kids but as has been mentioned above, I'd prefer a full team. I'm not sure what the youngsters csan do and now I think of it, this may be our double, moving onto treble.

Fair comments from the chavs. If it were the other way round I'd be thinking of a big win.

Full strength for me please. Never happen and a shame but such is modern football. Iheanacho will play and will cause problems and any young lads coming in have a point to prove, so you never know. But I think 3-1 to Chavs but it to be a late goal to add unwarranted gloss

Agree with a lot of that, by all accounts looks like we're bowing out of this one.

I'd just play a really defensive side and try and get a replay. Mainly kids, but really tight league 2 team style.

As a bonus, it'll make shit telly

Evidence if any were needed that the majority of football fans buy into what the media tell them.

If our struggles are down to the Pep announcement then explain Liverpool at home, Spurs away, Stroke away etc.

Baaaaaaaa

Bayern are losing Pep and have won every game. It's because we are in bad form and have had shit decisions too .

Half a dozen kids left out of mini Derby suggests we are likely to field a weakened side as promised.

I'm looking forward to seeing the EDS lads tomorrow. Hope we don't get battered but, sadly, it's the right thing to do given the injuries and fixtures.

Now Jose's gone, hopefully to a far worse place, I could stomach defeat: Hiddink is decent. But it would be funny if we played a weakened side and won. I suspect we will play a lot of youngsters but have experience on the bench, who could easily put in 30 mins and still play against Kiev, if we are in with a chance after 60. I hope Aguero does not start.

The fa cup means the world to me and I don't know why. I'm only 33, it's not like I lived through those "magic of the cup" days. Probably something to do with playing Wembley singles as a lad but I bloody love it and I'm very sad that we seem to be throwing the towel in on this one.

That being said, it's the kids. Being given a tie like this to make a name for themselves excites me something fierce. Think we'll get beat, possibly hammered, but I'm genuinely excited to see them against a proper team like this.

Going for a 3 nil win to Chelsea but I won't be upset over it if it happens.

And add Nacho to the mix also.
I'd love to see at least half a dozen get some time, but can't see us winning.
Just like to see them give a good account of themselves.

I would love nothing more than say half a dozen youngsters in the team and us beating them. Would proper put it up the media!

It could also kickstart our season and get some staid ass motherfuckers the boot in the ass they need.

Play the kids you undead fuck. I don't care if we lose this 4-0 if he plays children. Let's just see.

Cheers

I'd like to see them have a go. However I think something last weekend kick started our season. The loss and cheating aside we looked different and up for it. Onwards and..... errrr. .... onwards (unless Yaya is playing then it's sidewards and backwards!).
