We have to rub this in. We had to sit and watch the smug gits all the way through the '70s and' 80s. Michael Thomas was a bloody hero for providing some respite. Then there was the Istanbul night..... The constant 'history' chatter, the deluded crap of being a big club because of said history. The bullshit about money, oil money and buying our results.

Rarely gracious in victory, in my experience and even less so in defeat. Ever listened to 5 Live after they lose.....?

Fuck 'em. LET'S DO THIS.

Absolutely, A 90 minute rendition of Did you cry when Yaya scored, will do me.

can see Zaba, Aleks, and Navas coming in for rotation. surely Yaya should come off the bench as well as he was absolutely gassed but i dunno who Manuel could pick ahead of him.

If Yaya is knackered, maybe like this?

Agüero
Sterling Silva Navas
Fernandinho Fernando
Kolarov Otamendi Kompany Zabaleta
Hart

Yes I can see that being the line up. I would prefer to drop Sterling for this one but there is no one to put in his place and retain the right balance.

I was thinking Mangala may start too. Hate the thought of Vince not playing but a third game in 8 days? Bit risky?

I think we will change 7 or 8 players. I dont see Vinny, yaya or Aguero starting now Bony is fit, he can be rested.

I've a feeling Kaptain K will be fine now, his previous lapses were pretty much immediate, he needs game time as much as the rest of the team need him.

Think this game will be a damp squib, they will be as knackered as us if not more so imo.

Cheeky late goal for us take the 3 points.

Any notion of them giving us a pasting is nonsense, I don't see us losing and we need more than a draw.

We really can't afford to rest many. We could be 12 points behind of Leicester at kick off. We must win. Maybe bring in Navas for Yaya and Fernandinho plays centrally. Yaya can come on as a super sub?

I can see Ian starting with Sergio on the bench. Agree, Yaya should be on the bench but replace Sterling or Dave if they are ineffective/shagged out respectively.
But whoever he picks, get out there and force it down the victims throats. LFTCU (again).

I think Candlepool will be in the same boat, no way Coutinho and Sturridge make the starting lineup.

Jimmy Tarbuck, Paul McCartney, Stevie G, Carra, Alan Green, Jamie Redknapp, the cast of Brookside, Derek Hatton, Daniel Craig, Gerry and the fucking Pacemakers, did you watch the game the other day?

Well, you are walking alone now, no doubt on a dirty street lit by candles, strewn with stolen wreaths. Hahahahahahaha get in City

Can't see too many changes, it's a game we must win.
Can't see it being a classic by any stretch.
A dirty three points will do fine.

I think Kun will be rested. I think we will see Bony up front with Sterling and Navas out wide and Silva just behind him. It's set up I think works well and which will probably take Klopp by surprise.

I also expect Yaya to be rested with Fern 1 and 2 as central midfielders.

I.E, I think we will be willing to give up a little bit of possession and hope to hit them on the break.

After being booed throughout the match by the dippers Raheem was manhandled at Wembley by a dipper fan after the match and insulted. Also Khaldoun was shouted at by a bitter dipper before the match. What a nasty lot they are. City fans behaved impeccably towards Milner of course.

Yet, they will likely rest more than a few as well. They played with less rest than we did going into the final.

Our B team should be good enough to beat theirs, even away.

Would we start Nacho and Bony?

Fuck I hate them. Don't rest anyone unless they need it. We have our foot down on their throats, time to press a little harder.

It is going to be interesting to see the team sheets for both clubs.

Thing is if we don't take care of our more fragile players either we will also likely be done in the PL, and maybe the CL, which I don't see us wanting to risk.

Vinnie, and Yaya will surely be on the bench, likely Kun and the fullbacks rotated as well. Silva was icing his ankle after the game (I'm guessing he does this regularly now), but would Pellegrini really risk benching so many of our best players?

Zaba--Nico--Mangler--Alex
------Fern1----Fern2------
Navas----Silva-----Raheem
------------Bony-------------

Maybe Nacho slots in somewhere, even as the no. 10 or secondary striker if we go 442.

Intriguing.
