So Bobby got binned for being a disciplinarian and Pellers appointed because he puts his arms round players and gives them a cuddle to make them feel wanted. What a load of bollox Pep won't molly coddle the underachieving fuckers he will do what Bobby did and fuckin kick their soft arses into shape. Biggest mistake made by Khaldoon was taking this so called Holistic business on board and firing a truly great manager in Mancini.

Short memory Gillie, remember the Wigan FA Cup shambles, there was no way back after that, the dressing room was lost. Mancini was disliked by the team and the staff, it was only a matter of time.

Mancini had to go, but so should the players who led the revolt, even if that was Kompany and Aguero. At the point the players got their way, it became impossible to manage them.
You can look back as far as Mancini saying Tevez wouldn't play again yet he did - one of them had to go, but we did neither. We've then had personal appeals to Yaya to stay? WTF - you don't want to stay, pack your bags.
Hate to say it, but would any of that happened under Bacon?

Thats true, Taggart got rid of some high profile players in their prime, which kept the other primadonnas in their place as they knew no-one was safe if they tried anything dodgy. Thats how it should be too.

Holistic was just a term used by Soriano to say we want everyone at the club to be on the same page, pulling in the same direction.
It was in response to the criticism the club was getting for sacking Mancini. In other words he was saying they don't want a manager that was calling not only the players but his workmates out in public.
A myth has formed that we want everything nicey nicey, this couldn't be further from the truth especially when you consider we're hiring a disciplinarian in Pep, he will lay down the law but where he differs from Mancini is he won't air dirty laundry in public or attempt to undermine others at the club through the press.

I think the Mario Saga fucked Bobby, not the Tevez saga.
He is a good manager, amazing tactically, but his career after us did not do him any favours.

Why? He did lose the dressing room didn't he? Players texting members of the press about popping champagne should Mancini get the chop and what not.

Holistic was used to describe the ethos of the club, wasn't it? All teams playing the same way, everyone working together and pulling in the same direction, the principles used to coach the first team being the same as all the others, etc. So looking at the club as a whole.
I don't think he meant it in the softly, softly sense of caring for player welfare or massaging their ego.

We never discovered who it was as far as I know. All we know is that it was an England international.
For all we know it could've been Barry, it would help in some way explain why he was given the chop.

Aw come on ! Does he have to be nice to everyone ?
This guy successfully shafted the 'Big 4' , turned City into a force, i don't care if the tea lady thinks he's rude. Can she serve a decent espresso ?

Yep, somehow this was lost on the masses.

I have never bought Mancini was a monster, what has been seen over time is he had passion, too much for some, who cried when told they were shite.
Was he that far of the mark.

That cup final surrender was unforgivable. Either way, Pellers should have gone last summer, that mess at The Swamp was the indication that he had been found out. Hindsight, maybe, but looking back it was a decision that wasn't made by people paid fortunes to do so.

Surely a speculative shot cum cross , fooling Hart in extra time can't be seen as a surrender. We didn't play well that day but it is not like Wigan toshed us for 90 mins !
