he wasn't going to start.

at least we dont have to listen to his agent complain about him being on the bench vs. Madrid.
it made Manuel's decision even easier.

Oh fuck off phips. Even if he doesn't start we want him on the bench. Need players with his experience vs a team like Madrid in the CL semi finals

Kelechi desperate for the hatrick.

Taking that corner so quickly.

Great to see that enthusiasm after 90 mins.

i never said anything about not wanting him on the bench or being happy that he got injured.
i said that we won't have to listen to his agent complain and that he wasn't likely to start.

Job done against a team clearly already on their holidays

Most positive was a full 90 for Kelechi with a brace to boot

Not our best performance but still ran out 4-0 winners.

Fernando was very good with Kelechi deservedly man of the match.

I thought Otamendi had his best game for us yet, although he did make 1 big mistake which almost led to a goal. But by his standards that's a definite improvement.

Players should be in good spirits before the Real Madrid game now.

3rd straight clean sheet when mangala and otter start. I know he'll play kompany but I wouldn't on current form.

I'm with you on Kompany not starting ( I think ) but am still wondering how we managed to keep a clean sheet in that one.

Judging by the substitutions anyway, I'd day he isn't in the starting lineup.
Today was a job done. Nothing special but still cruised to 4-0.
Says as much about Stoke at the moment to be honest.
Having said that, without Nacho in the side today we may have done our usual struggle infront of goal. The kid is a breath of fresh air.
Good pass by Bony for his second by the way.
Thati over and done, now let's get serious on Tuesday.

Three points
Clean sheet
Start and two goals in motm performance from Iheanacho
No further injuries reported for Tuesday
Squad will be refreshed after a fairly easy runaround

Can't really ask for more than that

Really a perfect result.

Got to rest Kompany, Kevin, & Fern1; got David some time to shake off the rust; got Aguero a goal in the chase for golden boot; clean sheet for Hart's race for the golden glove; improved GD above Arsenal.

And yet another display of exactly why Nacho should be starting more matches ahead of Bony.
