Loyal servant, but you're made of glass, in fact so much Everest Windows might make a bid. Once you get injuries like this, history says it never stops, eg Owen Hargreaves. Time to cut our losses and say good bye.

Who in the right mind is going to be someone that plays twice a year?

For Everton? I can't see him going there.

Footballers do not deserve the cash they receive.
A fucking joke.

Probably his last season can't see pep having this continually injured player even if he is our captain time to drop the sentimentality and replace Vinnie for next season.

Frustrating that we can't rely on him anymore. He's going nowhere though.
He'll be doing big business moves at the club whenever his playing career ends.

I wouldn't go as far as that but his days as a key player in this team are over.

He can stay as long as he wants for me. Put his Euro Champs spot on the line in the last couple of weeks. I know we pay his wages but others would have hidden. Love him to bits.

If he's with us next year then we know that the guy managing us for the next 3 years hasn't got a clue. But I blame the manager for the fact this guy is even on the pitch.

He still has a future but maybe in a limited capacity. It's not HIS fault that his back ups / replacements are distinctly average at the top level, ok at home to a half arsed Stoke, but in the quarters and semis of the CL, his replacements are not good enough.

Think a loyal skipper and a Blue through and through should command a tad more respect.
Cant fail to agree on that he's probably dommed to an Hargreaves, but I am in much more agreement with those claiming for a significant role, either as a part time still great player and as a dressing room leader.
We all know what City have lacked more along this path towards the top are team leaders, and he still can play a great role there, particularly with Yaya bound out.
at least untill Pep will work the socks off the spineless lot.

So what do you suggest, every 8 games we drop one of the centre halves to the bench for 10 minutes so Kompany can have a run out?

I'm not going to do it, but I could recite 5 or 6 stories about our Captain Wonderful that paints his blue-through-and-through persona in a completely different light. I'll genuinely miss Zab, however.

This. All this. I find it mad to be angry with him due to injuries.
The best captain of my lifetime. What's happened to him breaks my heart.
Something hasn't been right in the camp since those rumours of him shagging somebody's missus. Around that time, he was always on Twitter, then he never used it. And the general positive feel of the squad has been fairly morose since then.

Never on Twitter? You're following the wrong one.
And you can be sentimental or you can want to win stuff

well cant argue a bit on Zabba, one of the few who has ALWAYS gave his all. and credit to Sparky for signing him for a bargain. sadly what we saw when back fm the injuries seems to suggest he's too down the fading line of the career (hope my smell is wrong and he might sparkle back after a good preseaon).
as per Vinnie, I m no fool to suggest to drop him ramdomly, maybe disrupting some good pairing in the making. Just keep him in the group as a driving leader, use him as rotational on injuries and bins, and see if he can recover completely by a somewhat miracle.
also as already pointed out, selling him wont bring us much value in exchange, as the things stand out.
my half penny at least
