Too paranoid to suggest the media kept a lid on this until the season finished in order to spare the Rags from complete turmoil? Timing is awfully fishy, and of course it wasn't a favor afforded to us this season.

Recall how Rag fans dismissed Maureen's "industrial" football during his first spell at Chelsea. Guessing that will be quietly forgotten about now.

Perfect match IMO. Poisonous club, toxic manager.
"Certainly our programme is a full one, but as a player and as a manager I've always felt that there is only one way to go into a season...and that's to try to win every game.... While we are in four major competitions we shall try to win four major competitions." - Joe Mercer

how were they keeping a lid on it? i read something about Mourinho to United virtually every other day for at least the last month. and that was just the English papers.

Well they hardly forced the issue to the point the current manager felt he had no choice but to confirm the rumours. Speculation is one thing, but what they did to Pellegrini was something else.

Unless we're just spineless and bowed down to the pressure from the press more readily that the scum's press office might have.

But they waited until the end of the season so that makes it ok and much better than how we handled the pep situation of course

Neil Cu*tis made an even bigger dick of himself on Talk Shite in trying to defend his chip wrapper paper and what he reckons was said about LVG since December.

He tells so many lies he cannot remember what he has said in the past and even had Talkshite presenters having to suppress their laughing at him.

He got so rattled that he kept referring to 'the media' as if the Sun was not part of it.

Worra wally.

Normally to learn from others, you try to incorporate the best elements they possess.
They seem to have taken what they regard as the worst traits from each other club and adopted them.

Now what could they learn from Leeds???

It was always a load of bollox; apart from sticking with Rudolf, which was more luck than judgement, they've always been the same as other clubs - and indeed any club would be mad to stick with someone taking them in the wrong direction anyway.
