I remember going down on the train with another family who were friends of ours. Seems like only yesterday as I remember it vividly, yet I can't remember what I had for breakfast this morning.

Yeah I remember pretty much every detail about the whole weekend too, which like you say is in contrast to a rapidly declining short term memory.

Nice one! Good old Kevin Horlock, I wish he'd been given the send-off he deserved.

I've seen him at a fair few games when we've been at Wembers recently. Always gets a lot of love from City fans.

Not sure why we need to keep reminding ourselves to be honest. If I start the 18 19 & 20 years threads now it'll save time!!!

I guess it depends which generation you're from. But for me, I never got to see Bell, Lee, and Summerbee, so for me growing up 17 years ago was the first time I'd seen City of anything whatsoever. Growing up surrounded by united fans I had to celebrate that whilst they were celebrating the treble. And I probably celebrated it even more than them. Because it was my club winning something and that's all we had at that time.
So for me I love remembering Gillingham at Wembley and Rovers away on the last day of the season. Because pre-2008 I never thought I'd see City win anything else.

I reckon we'd have got promoted the following season. We'd still have been a PL club when the Sheikh rocked up. We will never know but I think we'd have been ok
