New Football Rules For This Season

Postby Beefymcfc » Mon Jun 27, 2016 5:44 pm

Seen a couple so far:

1. Double jeopardy. If a defending player brings down another and the ref gives a spot kick, the defender will not automatically get sent off, he will receive a yellow.

2. No need to pass the ball to a player inside the circle at KO.

Anymore, and will these change anything?

Are these new rules or your proposals? The first one is not a day too soon.

It was mentioned in a game yesterday when the player was brought down on the edge of the box so I'm assuming it's a change to the current rules.

A commentator must always refer to Mourinho as the Special One once again. And mention how brilliant Shrek is in his new position of centre midfield.

Regardless of how shit they are

And mention Scholars as the best midfielder ever, but was shit at tackles?

I fear this season the rimming of all things relating to the rags will move to another level.

No need to pass forward from ko. What a game changer!

Introducing new rules for the sake of it springs to mind.

Not. There are 90+ rule changes I believe and the triple jeopardy is one of them.

I might be wrong but did Spain kick off the game yesterday passing back?

You are correct, which is now allowed as only one person needs to take the kick off. This will be the norm with the exception of Charlie Adam who will probably try and chip the keeper each time he takes one.

At least it will only take one player to fix the "who will get the first throw in" market on betfair.

90+? Christ. I hope one of them involves any player caught diving enduring a kicking from 6 specially selected fans at the end of the game, in the middle of the pitch, with Alan Green commentating.

First one is good, one we've been crying for for ages.
2nd doesn't make any real difference but I guess it's good as the previous rule didn't make any sense either.

But as there is so many changes, surely they announced there will be retrospective bans for diving?

Didn't hear that one mate, it's one that is needed though.
