Love Zabs to death, but...

The rule is 10 years and he only played here for 8.

If Dunney can't get one for only playing 9, then Zabs can toddle off to Rome for a last pay day.

Give him a testimonial if it bothers you. The bottom tier of one stand will be rockin.....

Just think it's a shame that so few stuck around to see him off on his last day at the stadium where he gave us so many good memories.

There are no rules for a testimonial. It's an unwritten rule. We can if we want to.

Zabba was asked whether he wold prefer to never play football again or play for the rags. He replied he'd go home and prefer to watch City on the sofa.

If he does go. I hope we get Roma in the CL to give us a chance to say thank you. Would be even better if he was on the bench and came out to warm up a few times but didn't play against us.

Mase for next England manager?

That wouldnt even have been a decent idea when Zabba was at his yellow cardy defensive midfield best when he first arrived , so...there's that.

Cheers

We didn't have Fernando when Zaba first came. So yeah.....there's that.

Cheers fat boi!

You're completely missing the point that Pablo wasn't even a better defensive mid when he first came let alone now. Fucktardo.

Okay Mike. I'll definitely be sure to listen to a guy that's been to one City match in his life.

True legend and warrior , will always be right up there as a Man City legend .

Shame his form and fitness slumped alarmingly the last year or so but so did several other players .
Not really here

Definitely.

So a testimonial was to give a retired player a bit to live on. I'm mystified why today's multi millionaires would need that.

Great servant, time to move on

He doesn't...the poster just clearly doesn't understand what the intent is of the actual thing itself.

Anyway....

cheers

Might it be so the fans can say a proper goodbye to an undoubted City Legend,Not for a monetary purpose as any money earned could be given to a charity of Zabba's choice.

The fans had a chance to wish him well at the end of last season we all knew he was leaving or retiring. They chose not to

Good word.

Zab's has been immense for the club and us fans, and although he's had a couple of injury troubled seasons, can take us on to win it again. The likes of Zab don't come along often and it's easy to see why we won the league when he was in form and injury free.

His attitude and guile lift every single one of us associated with the club and I'd give him as much time with us as possible as he has the affect that not many others can bring.

When we talk legends, Zab is one, if not not the top, of my list.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".
